What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Thanks Paul. The only thing with the knife that threw me for a loop is with the spring pin located that far back on the frame, it's a given for a light pull. Very light on this one, but the action is perfectly crisp, and everything else is spot on amazing so it doesn't bother me. It was just unexpected at first.

Bought this one on clearance about 25 years ago. Never carried it that often because of its bulk but the Mauser label and the multiple blades, including the saw and corkscrew, always fascinated me. I've since learned more about it so now I take it out and carry it every so often.

Well I'd like to show something different than yesterday, but alas nothing's changed; still working on the Polaris and same knives. The only difference is that I got a new sheath today for my KaBar short.

Great Sheath Ryan!!! My beater woods knife is a Kabar short heavy bowie...takes a licking and keeps comin back for more:thumbup:

Thanks Paul!:)

I don't think kabar gets enough credit in this day and age. The steel is great, it holds a good edge and is rediculiously easy to sharpen.

"That single blade trapper is tempting, but I have already lost my internal war and pulled the trigger on a single blade Sowbelly in black g10."

The above got me looking and pulled the trigger on both a G10 SB Sowbelly and a SB Wharncliffe Mini Trapper at prices I couldn't resist.........

As usual more than enough to list in my pockets.

Glenn , You are in my thoughts.

Update: Order was placed Sun 4/24 PM. Waited until evening of the 30th not receiving shipping notification. Called the dealer and was told sold out before my order, so I changed to the SB Dark Molasses Sowbelly along with the mini. This stayed on my mind and last night searched to find Black G10 I wanted and found a couple places still not sold out yet(?) since they are discontinued. Today after not getting a shipping notice yet, I went ahead and ordered one from the second source. Hopefully I'll at least get one and if lucky two black G10's. :grumpy:

So many beautiful knives posted lately!

I have been carrying the presidential the past couple of days. I forgot just how much I love this knife.

Great knife! I tried to find one a while back but they seem to go for a premium these days.

I've been carrying this Ebony #25 pretty regularly for a couple weeks now. This has easily become one of my favorite patterns.

Very fine option, people who don't have one of these 38s might be surprised how versatile they are and carry so well. My Lick Creek is seeing a lot of pocket love lately. Like that Seiko too, they do a very well made watch.

Thanks, Will

Thank you Will, you are spot on, the #38 is a wonderful and extremely useful knife. Maybe for reasons unknown it gets passed by but for me it's an ergonomic wonder and the pruning blade is so versatile:thumbup: and I also second your thoughts on Seiko, the make a very accurate and affordable time piece:)

Bought the 83 Purple Sage from Jamie on the Exchange, so pleased! But he generously included a fine Wostenholm Sleeveboard as well! Hallmark of Greatness, thank you Jamie:thumbup::thumbup:

wow what a fantastic include. That Sheffield is divine!

Day 3 of inherited traditionals in the pocket - today it's a Camillus New York camp knife with red jigged delrin covers. It has carbon blades, brass liners, and what I think are steel bolsters, but they could be nickel. Insane snap on every single one of the tools. I can't wait for GEC to make a camp knife of this size.

You gotta love handsome natural patina. I think the tang stamps falls in the 1960-1976 range.

Gorgeous lines on that knife. Is that Osage orange wood that has darkened over time?

Beautiful knife. I didn't even know they made the #25 with Ebony. I think it is time for GEC to do another run of #25's. I'd like to have one in ebony, Osage orange, cocobolo, walnut, and any other wood they would like to try.
