I wish I could post full res pics, they are much better. I have to dumb them down quite a bit to get them to load here.

Still toting the Case Peanut. :D Here it is sitting on a porthole closure aboard the 1889 tugboat Arthur Foss, one of the historic ships moored on Seattle's Lake Union.

Tremendous Talon, Dean; great patina! Thanks for the additional info on that reddish stag you posted recently. :) Is that Simmons Hardware, Germany the same one connected with Hornet pocket knives?

a Vic Cadet 2 and Secretary (thanks, Ken)

Thanks, GT! The Simmons Hardware, Germany stag is indeed one of the Hornet knives (Hornet on the reverse of the tang stamp).

Very nice looking, hard to find Victorinox knifes there. Both of them ones I have looked for and never found.

Yesterday was close to 97 degrees here. Today cloudy and cooler, only 61 at the moment.
I have my own sunshine in my pocket today. :D

Beautiful photo, Bob! Looks like you have some killer patina on that one, any chance of a photo with the blades open?

I'm carrying this well-loved Robeson today.

Great knives again everyone!

Thanks for the comment Gary and you're welcome.
It was interesting you posted those knives yesterday. I was at the market on yesterday and picked up these. Go figure, what are the odds on that happening?

Have a good weekend all.

A wonderful day to be Up North! Got to spend yesterday fishing with my brother who served as a . 50 cal gunner in the Army during O.I.F. Today I'm relaxing with my wife as we count the very last days until very soon arrival of our first child!!! I am carrying my New Day this weekend:

That shot is sophisticated alright, but I question its simplicity :D:cool:

Nice bark, a smooth knife and some beautiful coins. You Americans have always had a strong and admirable tradition in coinage/numismatics

Thanks, Will

Congrats on the impending arrival of your first! My wife is 2 weeks away from her due date, and we're relaxing around the house ourselves. It's been a long, tiresome 9 months, and we can't wait for the baby to come!

Beautiful knife, btw. ;)

Thanks Dean. I just got this gift from some good friends. It had the forced patina when I received it. I'm going to leave it as is. :D:cool:
