What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

That Dragon fruit plant/flower/fruit is amazing, StoneBeard! Thanks for sharing those pictures. I had never seen the plant or its flowers before.

I had a Peanut on me today, along with my Boker Barlow and a SAK. Was a busy day in the field, so I didn't get a chance to upload earlier.

You are very welcome wurrwulf. Some great looking green bone on your peanut  I feel like green is a color you see less often in dyed bone but I'm not sure why. If the new #77's look anything like that I think there will be a lot of happy folks out there.

I love dragon fruit (red and white) it gives a fantastic sweet flavor to rum!

That is a great idea Jolipapa and two things I'd never considered combining. Thank you for the suggestion

That's a beauty you've got from Evan, Joe.
Along for the ride today...

The Liliput and Norfolk make a handsome pair. I'm envious. :D

Paul
Thanks Paul. I don't give the Norfolk near enough carry time. The Liliput is new, and replaced an AL sport. Something about brass... 😉

IRJ continues in the pocket today.

Carrying the Rendezvous knife from this year. Casey and I went today, got a great tour, got to meet Sarah and see her awesome collection, and got to talk to and see some knives from Charlie and Lloyd. I was very lucky to get a Rendezvous knife this year, I guess people were lined up by 5am!

Your 85 is flat out gorgeous. I'm curious about the silver dollars though. They have such a nice patina in the background that contrasts with the bright silver of the raised parts. Do you give them a patina to make them look that nice or do you simply find nice looking silver dollars that have aged gracefully?

Thank you!
I bought the 2005 silver dollar to commemorate the year of my marriage and carry it every day. My wife bought me the 2016 silver dollar when my daughter was born and I started carrying that every day starting with her delivery.

The wear on the coins is from banging around with the knives and other goodies in my pockets. Silver reacts to sulfer with a blue patina (that turns brown when it's allowed to darken). My 2005 silver dollar accidentaly patina'd after exposure to a few chemicals at work. I then dropped them both into a container with a boiled egg overnight and got a dark patina that has slowly been wearing off. It adds a lot of depth to the coins for sure.

And a shot of the natural patina:

Speaking of beauty; those two fit the bill, Gary!:)

On the hike this morning, I had number 10. I like this one and try to imagine the significance of "10" to whomever engraved it on the handle.

The rest of the day I'm carrying my Forum Knife from last year.

Great knives all!

Thanks for the comments Dean and RobbW.

Very nice Northwoods Wilsonhome, 14 Barrett and Diamond Edge Scott.

I went with a Northwoods Presidential and a Vic Pioneer Settler today.
