What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Absolutely, I've carried this one everyday whilst on duty for about 3 years now. A lot of the younger guys have crazy multi-tools and modern thingies attached to themselves. Peanut suits me fine - I relegated the multi-tool to my kit bag in the motor. :thumbup:

Hopefully mine will look as good after 3 years as well. So far it's developing a fine character, it's my first carbon steel knife and I love it.

Thanks, Dean;
Your new walnut jigged straight stockman is certainly impressive! :thumbup:

More of my knives for this week appear below.

Thanks, Gary. I see you have another great Sodbuster Jr in a suitably rugged photo! :thumbup:

Like ISKRA I've a cv peanut today, although mine appears to have seen considerably more wear

Very nice, Paul. That is probably the darkest patina I've ever seen on a Case peanut! :thumbup::)

Cool photo, Dee! Are you a fisherman?

I'm carrying Coco in honor of Wooden Wednesday. (of course, my ever-present Red Bone TC is also with me.)

This old '33-'41 Russell may just be my favorite barlow. Good overall condition, pretty sawcut bone worn smooth with age and use, good snap and easy pull - when I can't decide what to carry, this one generally gets the nod...

Looking good Tim :thumbup:

Lick Creek Barlow and Arthur Wright Lambsfoot today :) :thumbup:

Thanks Jack! Must applaud the fact that you've always the most scenic backgrounds for your knives :o

Thanks, Tim.

Almost EDC: I almost carry it every day. I might go a day or two without it, but it calls me back. It's pretty much claimed my left rear pocket.

The stockman is nice. I liked the pictures before I got it, and I really like it in hand - small, attractive and multi-useful.

Ah ok, I can understand that completely. There are a couple knives that just call me back towards them to carry for multiple days straight. :D

One for Wharncliffe Wednesday

Thank you kindly!! I am really enamored with it ...

To Autumn by Keats

Season of mists and mellow fruitfulness,
Close bosom-friend of the maturing sun;
Conspiring with him how to load and bless
With fruit the vines that round the thatch-eves run;
To bend with apples the moss'd cottage-trees,
And fill all fruit with ripeness to the core;
To swell the gourd, and plump the hazel shells
With a sweet kernel; to set budding more,
And still more, later flowers for the bees,

Ulster days ...may they never cease:D
You're a poet and I didn't even know it........that was bad, forgive me. :D

These two for Wooden Wednesday. My Gentlemanly Watch Pocket Barlow in Ebony (purchased from Barry @ gunstockjackknives), together with the Baladeo Papagayo in African Blackwood, gifted to me yesterday by our good friend Jack Black.

Your Baladeo Papagayo sent me on hour long knife browse. Then when I came back to quote I realized it was Jack's fault....AGAIN! :D
Camillus today - not sure what model. 3.5", 4 lines on the tang stamp, 2 blades, half stops, composition covers I think.

Cool Camillus. :thumbup:
My ravishing H&R CM-6 to slice the good old plug pipe tobacco :-)
Welcome to the porch.

Great knives everyone, the highlight of my day to peruse this thread:thumbup:

Just a well worn veteran with years of life left. Peachseed jigging, tight blades that are worn but yet VERY SHARP. Just a joy to carry:thumbup:

Thank you! The arrow on the bolster of that Barlow is pointing to a very nice knife (aka itself). :thumbup: ;)

Cool photo, Dee! Are you a fisherman?

Thanks Dean!

Occasionally. It's a Family Tradition. They'd go everyday if they could. :cool: :D

You're carrying another home run, today! :thumbup:
