Man, this thing is a big bad beautiful monster... Lon Humphrey is a master. For such a large knife, it is light and lively in the hand... so well balanced.

Ted, it's the smallest D-D. 3 1/2" closed with 2 7/8" blade. There's isn't anything it can't do, plus thin as a stick of gum.

DDs are friction folders correct? I've never held one and have only seen pics here, I didn't know they came smaller. I loved my Mercator, had it for 25 years, I wound up givin' it to an older guy who kept pickin' it up, playin' with it and puttin' it back when I had a table one weekend at the fleamarket. He came around so much and I only had a $5 price tag I felt bad he couldn't afford the few $ I wanted so I gave it to him. I remember his daughter comin' back because she thought he had picked it up off my table without payin' for it. I told her that I had given it to him as long as it was alright with her because I could sense her concern.

Turned out she really was concerned that he had absentmindedly hung onto it. She came around again at the end of the day to thank me again, she had some tables set up a few rows away. When I saw the old man as we were gettin' ready to leave he held it up like it was a prize and smiled ear to ear.

I miss the thin profile tough knife the Mercator was but it was bigger than I like in a in pocket knife, the small DD might be a possibility.

It's not a friction folder, just a regular slip joint, half stop, nice W&T. The black finish on mine started to wear, so I finished the job with sandpaper.

Several models including stainless with handles in colors.

That's it Gev! And yes, it is very substantial. I just had to use it on some chicken thigh for dinner... very nimble for such a big blade.

This is all Jack Black's fault! :D

Hope you had a great time Cory

Amazing grinds, looks fantastic, congratulations

Dashing out the door with this A.Wright Lambsfoot in my pocket. Have a great weekend everyone

Being away to college in the capital most of the time, I haven't even noticed the season of moonshining, roasting chestnuts and mushrooms is already fully here. I wen't mushroom picking in the nearby woods this morning and there wasn't much to get. Only the third location provided one basket full. With me was my peanut "old trusty". I love this little knife, but with all them 'shrooms I was a bit underknifed, I wish I had my Linder lockback with me. :( On the other hand, John's muskrat will do great for similar tasks in the future, once it arrives.

Wow, that's a lot of 'shrooms! :)

The weather has finally cooled down a bit here, and I think I may do some pumpkin carving this weekend. :D

It's a deep bottom on that basket, the picture doesn't catch it nicely. I had to climb uphill like a mountain goat and then I had a hard time getting back to the car again. :D

I've totally forgotten it's Halloween next weekend. It's not a big deal here, we have two other national holidays on the 31st and 1st. That jack of yours looks very useful, r8shell. Do the scales glow in the dark?

Thanks Jack, hope all is well. Woke up to darkness today. Cold, dreary and no electricity (temporarily). Good bye summer, haha.
