What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Mack, I don't have PhotoShop but this would give you a slightly closer "idea" of the color. (Think of the purple in an eggplant or a nice dark burgundy wine.)
If you use FireFox, you can right click the image and click "view image" to see it full size.

Magnificent knife, Elliott.

I took a stab at some color enhancement:

Thanks, Rick! That's a much better depiction than I've been able to provide. I appreciate your efforts and your kind words as well.:cool:

This little guy arrived yesterday and has been in my watch pocket since.

Carrying my AG Russell pinched peanut today. Already used it to cut down a few boxes this morning and to trim a shipping label.

2dead, I think you have my ideal knife!
I just did a search for it and found the same knife in mammoth ivory. I'm going to save my pennies and buy one!
I just love the swedges and that wharncliffe blade...

Wow! Now that is a great looking peanut! Since I'm a Wharncliffe fan that may have to be next on the knife wish list. Thanks for the post!

Today I'm carrying an old Remington trapper, when they were made in the USof A, with delrin handles.. After 15 + years, it still packs a punch..

Cheers,
Serge

It is indeed and thanks for the compliment. It's funny, this piece could have been ripped right off the kitchen table that my family had when I was growing up...I dig it

Still carrying and using the Wiseman sowbelly. Seems like direct sunlight is the only way I can get a pic that shows the actual color of the maroon micarta.

I was totin' a "Robeson" (Queen) stockman today.

Dan, Is that a 2-blade sowbelly? I mostly use those 2 blades on cattle/sowbelly/stock knives. Pretty neat!

Thanks Jake. Yes it's a two blade version with two springs and no liners. I saw Gene post one in the For Sale forum with a spey blade. I asked him if he could make me a version with a sheepfoot instead and this is the result. Here is the original thread that he posted in the Knifemakers Gallery with the specs and some additional pics.
