*sigh* Photobucket is still having issues, I can't log in for the 3rd day in a row now.... Might have to convert permanently to IMGUR. Anyway, I have been carrying the Kabar Dog's Head Trapper for the past couple of days.

Excellent pic and great looking knife!

I had my 22 again. I'll try to switch it up some this weekend.

Thanks, GT!
It's a Willamette Whittler. I've really grown fond of the Wharncliffe blade, like your swayback!
Thanks for the info (and compliment), Mitch; sort of embarrassed that I didn't recognize a 38.

Today? The chestnut cousins, of course! :D

Wow, congrats on the fabulous sowbelly, Ron!!

a little skinny Colonial jack

a sweet Imperial jack that my father-in-law used to carry, and that got me back into pocket knives and landed me on The Porch

Gary, it always makes me smile to see you're carrying that little stockman. :)

It's still quite warm here. It hardly feels like Fall, but the pecans are. :D
I've carried my forum knife all week

Today, I also had this old Imperial with me. Going by the tang stamp, it seems to date around 1936-1952. Once again, I had to overcome my fear of celluloid, since it's such a sweet little knife. There's something especially cool about a long pull on a secondary blade.

Well done all!

Thanks for the comments on the Case mitch4ging and Ken.

Very nice stockman Jeff and terrific whittlers Ernie1980 and NJBillK.

I went with these two today.

Have a good one!

Ken K.

Thanks Ken, I love the old cross. Once it has some more years on it, and the dings start to show, it will finally start to show its age.
:D

Any chance we can see the serpentine with the blades open?

Erik, love those Dog's head knives! Sorry to hear about your trouble with Photobucket. Have you tried Flickr? I have been using it for years with no problems.....except that one time, we won't talk about that one time. . . kidding, it has always worked well for me.

You certainly do, that's another excellent example :) ;thumbup:

Haven't carried my Needham NAAFI knife in a while, thought I'd make up for that today :) Also carrying my Stan Shaw Sheepsfoot

Jack, that Stan Shaw is the cat's meow! It looks like it can do a good days work too.

Morley and Sons Whittler for this Friday!
That is one fine knife, I love the swedge on the main.

New (to me) Schrade Walden 804 whittler.
Wow, what a wonderful example! Love those 804's!

Very cool, FBC!! How did you cajun blacken that MAM??

GT, I always enjoy seeing that Sodbuster Jr.
I used a old Japanese technique of preserving wood called Shou sugi ban. I really like the way it turned out. The texture feels great in the hand.
Have a great weekend everyone.

A Case 3347 CV, 4" stockman, three springs.

I never did carry this one a whole bunch. So, this is a good time to get fully acquainted.

You've been carrying a lot of CV lately, Frank. It might just be me, but I thought you were heavily in the stainless camp. I don't really have anything to say about it, just found it curious and thought I'd mention that I'd noticed. Hope you have a great weekend.

I prefer stainless. And if it's a pricey knife, I start getting picky about it.

But that doesn't mean I won't carry non-stainless, especially on a less expensive knife. This one was less than $40.
