What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

That sure is a beauty.

Thanks! And, I agree. :)

Great pin, too. I've got an "I Go Pogo" pin around here somewhere. :D

I was going to try one with my "I voted" sticker but ~P already nailed it with her fantastic composition and blue bombshell!

Aw, thanks!

... It's probably a good thing I voted before being told that my precinct (county? state?) had no "I Voted" stickers. :grumpy:

:D

Been down sick the last few days, and also got tired of photoshop's inability to work well. So here's my carry for the remainder of the week and my first use of imgur...

Thanks, Paul; I'm always surprised how good the pocket worn harvest orange feels!
Your pruner makes two days in a row for you with the exceptional jigging!

Thanks for taking the time to look GT :) You did well, I think the singer was hamming the accent up quite a bit! I recently saw the dirge described in a local history book thus:

Carrying my Stan Shaw Sheepsfoot and IXL Barlow today :)

Thanks, Jack. :) I don't know how many knives you've used in your recent rotation, but you sure are mixing and matching them to come up with day after day of powerful pairs!:thumbup:

Sensational scout, Rachel!

This is the pile side with the blades open, my friend. It measures in at 3 & 5/16 ;) Thanks for the compliment! A senator seemed appropriate on this day :D

SAK of the week (not Alox) is a humble Classic that taught me the value/utility of scissors in my pocket;
find it in the following photo (I also happen to be carrying the Minichamp and the Electrician this week):

Thank you kind sir! This choice is an interesting lovely knife and I hope to see more of it this week.:thumbup: Thanks again, Gary:thumbup: Have a wonderful evening and week.

Enjoying your election day photos, guys.

That stockman's got to be about the nicest one I've ever seen, Jake.

That tortoiseshell GEC is really something, hey joeradza? I never would have thought to get an acrylic GEC, but scored this one as an unexpected offer of a pair after buying a barn chestnut 15. (Thanks kysteve!) I love how the gold in the pattern is actually the refraction of the brass scales through the clear bits of acrylic.

You've got better eyes than I do Chin. I never realized the reflection of the brass was the cause of the tortoise shell effect. I was hesitant about the 'toughness' of the acrylic, but after carrying it for a few weeks, I have no worries.

Yeah, I had the same thought. I think it's pretty tough, I'm now wondering if the polish will cloud over on the clear areas with wear over time, and if I'll be able to get the same clarity back by repolishing if it does. Nevermind, I'll just have to be diligent about keeping it a slip...

It's pretty interesting, I've never seen that effect in knife covers before.

It would be interesting to see how a clear acrylic would look with polished steel liners underneath and say blue dark patches like the tortoiseshell pattern. Or green with the yellow brass liner refraction?

Anyway, I've been unexpectedly enjoying this one a lot.

I carry mine in jeans next to my wallet and so far it's still bright and shiny. To be honest I find leather slips are the cause of scratches on some of my knives. If you keep the knife away from keys and coins for example, what do you think would be easier on a knife, cotton or leather.
