This genus of knives really have my attention. They just work for the season  Two fantastic pieces!

Thanks Gev, it really is a fantastic pattern, and well made at that. That Hartkopf? of A.L.'s is just fantastic looking.

That is some nice Stag Kris. Do you know if it is Sambar or European Stag.
You always show some absolutely beautiful Stag and are keeping the bar raised very high .

Thanks for the kind words, Harry, always appreciate them. I think it is European stag as Boker made no mention of Sambar, and that good quality Sambar is becoming scarce and expensive.

~19:45 on a November 9 evening and it's still 82 outside.
So here I am barefoot and in shorts with all the windows open.

Got the bottom knife in my pocket, US Schrade Uncle Henry 834UH, because it's nice and small riding in my cargo pocket.

I carry mine in jeans next to my wallet and so far it's still bright and shiny. To be honest I find leather slips are the cause of scratches on some of my knives. If you keep the knife away from keys and coins for example, what do you think would be easier on a knife, cotton or leather.

True Alan, I've noticed too that leather will scratch up the bolsters of a new knife.

It doesn't bother me too much as I tend to polish them back up with a diamond lapping paste progression from time to time, but I may have to try your technique with this 15.

Truth to tell though, my pocket slips are usually to stop my knives being scratched up by other knives. :D:rolleyes:

Sometimes I'll have that old favourite that I just don't want to lay aside while giving a new one a run! :)

Same again today -

Knice Sleeveboard Ernie, :)

Great lookin' collection OE.

Erik, Jack, great lookin' forum knives, great examples and pics Ron Clay and Chin, my wife loved the tortoise shell celluloid/acrylic. Everyone, thanks for sharin'. ;) :)

One post was moved to "Traditional and modern pairings". Let's keep it traditional knives only, except for that thread, please.

No problem here Chin. It's fall here in NY and wearing jeans and a jacket I've got plenty of pockets. Anxiously awaiting an addition, hopefully today.

Gary, ever vigilant, doing a job outta love for the knife and the community. At least we're civilized here that's gotta make it a little easier than GKD, thanks for doin' what you do and keepin' us on track. :) Oh thanks for mentionin' the other thread, I just looked at the first page and there were some nice pairs :) there so I need to go back see the rest of the thread. I can't believe I never saw that thread before or maybe I did and don't remember.

Today I'm carryin' probably the only knife with a clip that's allowed in traditional's the money clip knife, wish I had some paper money to put in there. :)

It's great to see so many 2016 Forum Knife photos here, many with "again today" captions. Mine has seen quite a bit of pocket time, too. I'd say it's turned out to be a winner.

I'm changing it up today and giving the Lambsfoot some love.

Thanks for the shout out, Ted. That Traditional and Modern pairings thread is one that I post in frequently myself.

Nice money clip knife. I think I might have one that's similar. I'll have to go foraging through my stuff.
