Happy Friday everyone.

Thanks, GT! It hasn't been that long, has it? :)

As always, you have a pocket full of treasures capable of taken care of any and everything that comes their way.
Thanks; I like to be ready in case a knife swap meet suddenly breaks out during my day! :D

Thanks GT :) Yes, it's horn
...
Thanks for the confirmation, Jack; another fine knife you have there!

I love seeing all these SBJs! Looking good, GT, and add me to the +1 list for that checkered bone canoe! Gorgeous!

I've got my Antique River Log Peanut and Ebony 14 on me for Wooden Wednesday.

Thanks, Shawn; I think someone posted a Case peanut recently that had impressive checkered bone similar to that on my RR canoe. Good wood you selected for Wednesday! (Sheesh! Didn't realize I'm at least 2 days behind again.)

...
Today I went with these two. Forum knife and a Vic Electrician.

Have a great day all!

Very charismatic pair, Ken!

Thank you so much for your compliment. Your kindness is always appreciated
Thanks, Gev; I try to emulate you! ;)

Thanks GT and Jack B
GT, I know I've said it before, but that Swayback is killer!
The forum knife is filling my pocket while I wait for my first peanut.

Thanks, Erik. :) I did a double-take when I saw that you were after a peanut, since you seemed committed to larger patterns! I later saw that you picked up 2 sweet chestnut jigged CV peanuts and put one up in a cool GAW!!:thumbup: Great pic of your 2016 BF half-scout (hope you didn't stuff the cat in your pocket, too )!

...
Thanks, Gary, and that is a lot of canoes!

This one today.

...
Speaking of Barlows, I'm carrying this L.F.&C. today.

Kutmaster today.

Dean, I do have a lot of canoes, but I'm quite sure it's still fewer than the number of stockman knives you have! ;) As long as we're doing inventory, how many old Barlows do you have now?? The 3 above are great!

Another crack o' dawn start for me tomorrow, but I'll have these two riding along :)

Another cool pic

Really enjoying the discourse in the Lambsfoot thread at the moment :) Carrying my A.Wright in buffalo today, along with my Abbeydale :) Have a great day everyone, the weekend is nearly here

The lambsfoot thread has been especially informative and fascinating to me lately, with thought-provoking "plot twists" just when I think I'm kind of understanding form and history! Was it by design that you've gone with a spearpoint/lambsfoot pairing two days in a row? Definitely a tasteful tetrad!

My Walnut Bone CASE Stockman FINALLY arrived here in Europe safe&sound after a tiresomely long trip from the US (sent on 14th October, held up in Chicago for ages...:grumpy:) I can't post meaningful pix as it's really dark here most of the day now so I wanted to live off your pix. This is a really well put together small stockman , sunk joints, tight construction, fine bone and nice Equal End frame. It's like a 3 blade Pen Knife, won't weigh you down. Extremely pleased with it.
...
Thanks, Will
Congrats on your walnut Rogers jigged bone stockman, Will! Glad to hear that if finally arrived safely and matched your expectations!

Today it will be this one.......:D

Mother, May I!!:thumbup: Sensational Barlow, Ron!!

...
Today, inspired by the wonderful Camillus Barlows shown recently by Dean and Ron, I'm carrying my sawcut delrin model:

Have a wonderful Thursday everyone. The weekend is nearly here.
Looking good, Greg! Bone Barlows are beauties, but delrin is dandy, too IMHO! :D

"Many a teardrop will fall, but it's all in the game." Nice knife, Rachel, and the bone stag is a bonus!

This little whittler has been in my pocket since I won it in a GAW here a couple months ago. I love this little thing, and it's found a permanent home.

I like the looks of that Rough Rider whittler, scattershot! What model number is that?

Thank you MJ, the tang stamp puts it from 1017-1946.

Hers some pictures:thumbup:

Congrats on that dreamboat Barlow, Paul!!:thumbup: Fantastic covers, and a shapely spearpoint!

For my last work carry before a week off (yea!) I went with a Joseph Rodgers stag congress
Sensational stag congress, Ernie!:thumbup: Enjoy your week off; shoot, I hope everyone has an unforgettable Thanksgiving holiday next week! :D

This one today.

I know it's a common working knife, but I think those old electricians look VERY elegant, especially that particular model Camillus (I hope I identified that correctly). Good one, Cambertree!

This week, in addition to knives I posted earlier, I've also been carrying the following.
A Böker USA electrician (thanks, Mark):

A Schrade Walden 804 whittler (thanks, Tsar Bomba):

As always, a Vic Minichamp and a Rough Rider small stockman with scrimshaw by r8shell:

You've inspired this madness where I spent a week searching for the perfect blue handled knife and didn't find exactly what I wanted. So now, I'm beseeching the makers...

My favorite color isn't even blue. It's red. And I think that some of the green burl that I've seen is actually more striking than the blue burls. But no. Has to be blue burl. Has to be 3/32" or thinner blade stock. Has to be full flat or convex grind, no scandi, no saber, none of it. And when it happens, we will rejoice in glory.

Today, as I do most days, I'm carrying this cocobolo moose with modified spear to sheep blade and convexed edges:

Old Barlows, hmm, depends on what "old" means. Hard to tell with some tang stamps, but Barlows that might be older than me = thirteen. Total Barlows = 42.

Thank you GT, you're very kind :) I have been enjoying the discourse in the Lambsfoot thread immensely my friend, in fact Herder's latest scans kept me up pondering half the night! :D In terms of my daily carries, much as I like a straight-edge, I don't see the point of carrying two, so try and add a bit of versatility with a spear or clip  Nice line-up you have there, and the Whittler is a peach. Have a great weekend pal :)

GT
i have to agree with the others...that whittler looks like a super fine piece with all the blades shapes that anyone could want or need, and it is a looker too!

Oh No! I have Shapleigh envy!! Have I seen that gor-g-ous knife before? Perhaps in my dreams. Top notch, Gev, top notch.:thumbup:

Yes, I have shown it before, Dean. It was well loved and used hard but it still deserves some time in the November sun walking in high cotton :D;) Thank you for the fine compliment Sir!!

I bet its walked a thousand miles, pickin cotton and pushin plows, and learning how to whittle along the way ;) what -huh

A lovely Shapleigh, indeed.

Life is too short not to carry a fine old knife, so after a careful cleaning my ivory Rodgers is in my pocket. (the 2016 Forum Knife is with me, too, in case any tough jobs come up)

I am carrying this beauty, just to make some pictures.
It's a knife I bought for my father's birthday next week, I guess he will like it a lot..;)

Very nice. Ever since I started getting into traditionals, I've like the moose pattern. I like your choice in computer, too. ;)
