What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

This 15 just arrived today from BigBiscuit. It started life as a spey blade which he modded to a spear. Very nice job he did!

Journeyman? If so, this was my first SAK, bought because I like the pliers (long before multi-tools were the norm). It was a faithful companion on many backpacking trips in the 70s and 80s.

It's actually a Deluxe Tinker. I like that it has both pliers and scissors. It makes a much smaller multi tool than my Vic Spirit to throw in my pocket.

I'm looking forward to using this one on the many projects I have around the house. :)

An old friend for the past few weeks now... the #55 in Autumn Gold. This was my very first (since my Cub Scout knife in the early 70's) traditional pocket knife. I got this one in June 2013 and it's the one that began the madness! :D

Great knives, production and custom, foriegn and domestic.

This formidable pair for me today with its diverse blade selection. A vintage Kabar equal end jack and Farmers Jack:thumbup:

Have a Happy Thanksgiving everyone.

What a beautiful pair of knives Paul!

Outstanding bone, Will!

...
A well-loved blade...

That's a wonderful knife, Dean; TC must stand for Tasteful Coloring in the bone covers!

Well over 2000 when I went up to the Big Skool, no wonder I learned nothing there! :D

Thank you my friend, you have three of my favourites with you this week
Thanks for the compliment, Jack. :) Was your school experience what they call "living large"??

...
Gary - Thanks for the compliment. :) That's a nice pair of Vics.
Thanks, Ron; my first knife was a scout pattern, and I think my heart still belongs to scouts, SAKs, etc. ;)

Thanks GT, your comment gave me a much needed laugh after a hectic day at work. :D

And the laugh was followed by a smile upon seeing your Martinez marinera. I'd been wondering when it would turn up again. :)
Glad to be of service, Greg; your photo gave "chip carving" a whole new meaning. :p Glad you like my Martinez; with my current carry schedule, you can be sure that each of my knives will show up at least once every 20 weeks!

Thought I'd carry some horn today, IXL Serpentine Jack and Arthur Wright Lambsfoot

Charming couple, Jack; two horns seems so natural (rhinos and unicorns excepted)! I find that IXL quite enchanting!

...
Because you have great taste, GT ;). Food & Cutlery are your specialty. Just look at what you're carrying today. And word is you've been known to throw down in the kitchen .
Thanks for the kind words, Dee! :) My wife looks at my culinary creations and she's surprised I don't throw UP in the kitchen; sometimes artists get no respect! I consider myself the master of Microwave Casseroles: if it's in our fridge or pantry, it's fair game to be thrown in a bowl with whatever else, nuked, and consumed. I tried salsa in my oatmeal this morning, and consider that a very successful experiment! :D

Full heart because of my full pockets today. On this day before Thanksgiving, I've decided to carry every knife that has been gifted to me by members of The Porch. From the bottom of my heart, thank you Alan (joeradza), Gary (GT), Randy (r redden), Gary (Gary W. Graley), Brett (KBA), and Mike (Crazy Canuck). My baby girl's peanut is flying high with some of the finest today.

Very nice sentiment, Shawn! All those meaningful gifts to you from BF members are just karmic payback for your thoughtful generosity! (In fact, I was browsing through old threads on the Exchange last night, just to see what great deals I missed, and saw what a nice thing you did for Bob with that Bullnose - a big hand and 3 cheers to you, sir!:thumbup:)

Today it is Ebony............ X2 :D

That's a distinguished dark duo, Ron! I especially like that Workhorse!

A friend's knife and photo.
I think your friend has great taste, Jak3; I really like those Garden Knives from Opinel!

I'm carrying two today :)

Both of your knives are winners, John, but what caught my eye was the HP; what model is that??

Great photo, Gev; have you been taking Hungarian lessons again? ;);)

Thanksgiving road trip back to Kansas carry. 73 liner lock in burnt stag.
Striking stag on your 73, Tony!

Took this pic today for the " wooden Wednesday " tread and decided to just carry it today as well so here it is again.

Clay
Yowza! That is a dignified, elegant, and refined little Buck stockman, Clay!:thumbup:

Cloudy rainy day, but wooden Wednesday deserves recognition.

Very worthy Wednesday wood, Dean!

I'm sure that a lot of you are busy making the final preparations, or even celebrating Thanksgiving. It's late in the day here, and I have an early start each Thursday, so I'm just packing my bag, and sorting out what I'm carrying tomorrow. We don't celebrate Thanksgiving here, so tomorrow is just another day. I wanted to wish all of you in the US a very Happy Thanksgiving though, to you and your families, I'm grateful for all your friendship, kindness, and camaraderie. Carrying these two tomorrow

Thanks for the well-wishes, Jack! The TC on the knives you and Dean are carrying must stand for Thanksgiving Charlows today!

It goes without saying, but I'll say it anyway, Jake: what a ravishing, stupendous, transcendent, unforgettable knife!!:thumbup:

Today a Northfield and a Cattaraugus

Harry
Desirable duo, Harry!

Paul, one thing I'll be thankful for tomorrow is all the gorgeous bone you've been sharing with us lately!!

Cold, rainy day by me today, so that pic is a real pick-me-up; thanks, StoneBeard! I've admired your buffalo covers before, but now I taken with the serious patina you've developed on that lambsfoot blade!

A few more knives from this week for me.
A Remington peanut:

Thank you Jeff, I love the Old Kabar, slightly shortened main but very well done. Amazing pocket worn covers, solid blades and great snap. I remember your #55 was a regular for quite some time. Great knife and covers buddy:cool::thumbup:

Gary, Thank you for the compliment my friend. Wonderful knives, I really like the LF&C:cool:

Have a Happy Thanksgiving everyone.

Those are such a nice pair Paul !! The coloring of the Farmers Jack makes it very difficult to believe the big difference in age between the two.
I would hope that you have a Happy Thanksgiving also my friend !!!.

Thanks for the comments on the stockman Ron and GT (and anyone that I may have missed!).

Paul....that Ka-Bar is fantastic!! You'd think I'd be able to find knives like that here in Olean but I keep looking with no luck. I see a lot of junk at sales and the antique shops.
