I'm trying to carry the same knife for a week at a time during 2017. This week, the 77 clip

America has reached 250 years, and I am grateful to be here, in the best country in the world. Thank every one of you who helps make this country a better place, those who have gone before and risked it all, and those who've paid the ultimate price to make the United States what we are today.
Happy Birthday America! Let Freedom Ring for all time!
I could try Gev! But I think the GermanEye would survive the journey betterIt's wonderful sour dough bread from an artisan bakery, their Fransk Råg (French Rye) is also exceptional, but it costs 5 a loaf, not cheap but it keeps well for days and makes sumptuous toast :cat: Got to sharpen up that German Eye Tadpole, but I don't think he's up to the job of loaf slicing somehow
I bet somebody in the Cult of the Peanut will claim they slice bread and roast meats on a regular basis though!
Thanks, Will
It looks like a Vendetta to me.
I got it from a knife guy east of here. He's retired, but he loves knives, so he has a shop that sells just knives. I think he's happy if he breaks even. He's such a nice guy that I feel I have to buy something after pawing his wares and wasting his time chatting.
I couldn't resist this one anyway, but next time I'll buy something out of the bargain bin.
What reminds me of your lambsfoot is the liners and bolsters, very thick and shiny; and the finish on the blades, which are very similar.
Wonderful picture; Congrats to Stan Shaw.
Wonderful Whittler, Gev, and the bread looks amazing!

Looks like it's going to be a lazy day today. Just a boy and his dog hanging out, getting some reading done

Northwoods Sowbelly
Wow! I haven't seen one of those in years! My first rifle was Sears![]()
Terrific photo, Mike- I love the dog and the knife!
Carrying the new Ranch Hand today. Bought off the exchange, it came to me in perfect shape, but I had a slight accident with it the first day out of the tube. I gave it a good going over, checking the action, the edge, the F&F, then set it down on the counter by my keys, etc. The next morning when I went to pick it up, it was underneath some mail and a receipt. Both blades had black and brown rust on them, both small specks and larger blotches, and the clip main had a blueish patina over about 2/3 of the blade.![]()

The only thing I can think of that would have caused it was the receipt, maybe something acidic in the ink or paper, or both. Anyway, I spent about a half hour polishing out the rust, and lost the majority of the "Tidioute" etching on the clip. It will be a user, and besides, it still looks good. Of course, I'm thinking of modifying the blades anyway, and forcing a patina!

Alan, the Yellow Rose 83 is fantastic. As others have noted, looking forward to seeing it paired up with the 74.83 Tascosa Yellow Rose while waiting for 74 Yellow Rose Mustang.

Jeff, not that my opinion matters, but I think it looks better without the etch.Carrying the new Ranch Hand today.
