What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Beautiful knives being posted on this Saturday! Well, I made it until Jan 20, yesterday, before I broke my 1st New Years resolution. ;) Hey, that may be a record for me! I was not going to buy a knife for the month of January. I not only ordered one, but I also reserved one. Another of my resolutions was to slim down some. I think you will all have to agree with what I am toting today, that one is still holding true. A pair of really great pen knives, a 66 Slim in Sage Jigged Bone and a 53 TK Cuban in Natural Stag. :D

Ron Great examples of the Pen genre and a reason to break resolutions in the quest for more beauty. The 66 is a grand carry but I've always fancied a Cuban Pen, that Stag is superb too.

I'm not normally a Stockman enthusiast, I have a few and like them well enough but this Winchester has really bowled me over, nice bark bone. And his bite is quite up to his bark too :D have to watch it!

Thanks, Will

Good stuff Ron

LOL! :D Very nice indeed Ron

A busy day for me today, but I've had these two along. Hope everyone is having a great weekend :)

Will - Thank you my friend, I knew we shared a fondness for the Pen genre. :) That Winchester has some extremely nice bone and jigging. A very appealing knife. If I might ask the Model # and date code on that one please.

THank you very much Ron, the same to you my friend :)

Got to walk the river for the first time this year. Landed 2 large Steelhead, with plenty of strength left over to swim another day!
The Bullet Jack and stainless 15 trimmed all lines perfectly.

Good lucking pair Ron. I broke my NY resolution on the 3rd, I think it was[emoji41]

Today would have been my grandfather's 81st birthday. To honor him, I'm carrying his Boker split back whittler and a buckeye. We also got buckeyes as part of our Christmas present from him each year. He is the man that gave me my love for the outdoors and one of my biggest influences in who I am as a man. Miss him greatly.

That's a great knife, but the thoughtfulness you show is a much greater rememberence of him. Well done!

Gotta hit the rack soon, but thought I ought to at least post a couple of pics of knives I've had in my pockets this week.
Remington Big Daddy Barlow (thanks, Shawn); heck of a lot of knife for an old man!

Gary, that is a gorgeous Barlow and a fine gift from Shawn! I like the main blade on that one; it is such a classic clip style.

Beautiful, Dee, as many have noted!

Good looking Cases my friend. And nice to see he yellow too. How do,you like that Russlock?

Thank you Alan .
In my opinion the Case Russlock is a very nice work knife . I used one for a work knife for about 5 years and lost it a couple of times and finally gifted it to a son-in-law who did not have a sharp knife . It never let me down . I still have this one and another one too but do not want to use either for a work knife , but I don't mind carrying them occasionally.

Harry

Thanks a lot fellers :) The background is the workings of the out-flow for an old mill-pond (or 'dam') for a saw-mill, which was originally water-powered, in North Yorkshire (close to Skipton Castle)

Hope you had a great time Shawn, those knives go well with your Bond suit ;)

That Ramshorn looks incredible

Good stuff Ron

Smashing Remington GT

Thanks my friend, that water is probably no more than about five feet deep :)

Very interesting knife, and thanks for the info on it

That is a fine-looking 'old thing' :)

Great-looking pair Gary, I like your new fixed-blade

Interesting. I keep looking at them, then I will read some opinion that pronounces it as awkward. What I need to do is just try one. Thank you sir!

I have my Ebony spearpoint TC with me today. I think I'll carry it again tomorrow, too.

Admirable spearpoint TC, Dean! Is the object on the upper left a magnifier?

...
Just for the fun and joy of carrying two today. :)

Hope you all have a great weekend.
Pulchritudinous pair, Brett!
Hey, how are you liking your Taramundis? I've been using mine for food prep all week, and am more impressed with the knife the more I use it.

You're a man of few words, Dee, unless a picture is worth a thousand words! ;)
That ram's horn is a regal handle, and the mammoth ivory is magnificently impressive!:thumbup::thumbup:

I had the same idea Ron, nice pair your carrying today. Went with my #38 Whittler today.

WGnbnx.jpg
What a knife, Paul! That 38 is one beautiful, curvaceous cutter.
Enjoy the Patriot game! (Hey, maybe I'll watch that old Harrison Ford movie with that title. :D)

...
I went with the BF 77 today. I hope y'all have a great weekend!

Haven't had the chance to type it until now, Alan, but I've been enjoying your hypnotic Yellow Roses! "She's the sweetest little rosebud that Texas ever knew."

Thanks for acknowledging my Big Daddy, Jack; if I were to drop it on my foot, I fear it would be literally smashing!
You've posted a more-than-serviceable pair!!

Recycling this one from the stag Saturday thread
Love me a clip/pen toothpick, especially in stag!! Luxuriant knife, VashHash!

Memorable Black Box stock knife, Will! Glad you're thoroughly enjoying your new acquisition!!

That's a noteworthy EO 85, Macchina!!
