Scintillating, tomsch!!

Seductive, Dee!!

Boker Splitback Whittler
Sensational, greentrout!!

Splendorous, rishma!!

Gary, although it tapers off at the heel, those Rough Riders look to have a nice even grind right from the factory. More than can be said about some higher end knives. They also seem to have a decent process of dying their bone.
Thanks, Bob. :) I may not be the most discriminating or knowledgeable knife owner in the world, but I think I have some good reasons for enjoying my Rough Riders as much as I do! As a relatively unskilled sharpener, I especially appreciate the wide edge bevels typically found on RRs; they allow even me to find the angle pretty easily by feel and by eye. On the other hand, although I agree that they do a quite good and uniform job on dying their jig bone, I've been disappointed more than once by the dye jobs on RR smooth bone.

To be honest, I have no idea how old the Imperial is, and although it does appear that the covers are held on with pins, the pins don't go through the liners (no sign of them when you look inside the knife). The covers themselves are the hollow plastic sort. (There used to be some sort of advertising or company name in white on there, but there's not much of it left.) I bought the knife for a couple bucks at a flea market.
Thanks for the details, Barrett. I didn't realize that your Barlow had the "clamshell" covers. Most of the Imperial Barlows I've seen have lighter covers than yours, almost white on the edges with darker "sawcut" in the interior of the handles, so maybe I thought your much darker one was real wood or bone.

Salutary, select old knife, Mark!! What do you call that yellow and black marble on the upper right? When I was a kid, that was probably the most prized kind of marble at school recess, but I can't remember what we called them.

...
I bought this on sale today and it went right in the pocket - Case Jr. Scout. I like smaller scout knives.

Congrats on the new Case scout, Dean!! How big is that?

A bit busy at the moment, so apologies for not posting much :o Hope everyone has a good Friday, and a fantastic weekend :) I'm carrying these two today

Jack Black and his brace of eponymous knives!! Satisfying sable, sir!!

Since I got this on Monday I've not been able to put it down! Rather surprised by this as well as it's 'only' a Sodbuster.;) But I think it's the definitive one, superb finish-can't find any issues. Great Burgundy Micarta and pivot, it feels wonderful in the hand and promises a lot of versatility. Grand slicer but a tough work knife when called for, my head has been turned :D

Glad you're finding that Bull Nose so superlative, Will!

RiderOTS, in my town we have "hair salons" (aka barber shops) named "Great Clips" but they don't hold a candle to the GREAT CLIP on your AG Russell!!:thumbup: That's like a Nike clip with an amazing swoosh! That's a catenary clip!! What a stupefying, surprising, stylish blade!!:thumbup::D

I have a few BF knives and struggle whether to sell, collect, or use. This is my favorite so it's going into use rotation.

Standout BF congress jack, tomsch! I'll bet you have no regrets about deciding to carry it.

There were too many days gone by without my 73 in my pocket so I am carrying these today ...
Harry
If I were to go looking for favorite GECs based on pictures I've seen here, stag 73s would be in my top 3 for sure! Striking knives, Harry!!
(Did the car on the ice take the plunge with all this unseasonable weather lately?)

Fancy Friday

Sumptuous Keen Kutter, r8shell; fancy indeed!!

Heading out to the woods for the night. Cheers!

That red Farmer is stellar, Daniel!

Today it's a Case Sod Buster Jr. and a Vic Pocket Pal.

Have a good one!

Ken K.
Another superior black/red combo, Ken! Does the Pocket Pal have metal covers?

Came home and changed. Grabbed this. Been working on the edge.

I love my Case Canoe!
Shoot, I love EVERYBODY's Case Canoes!:D Pbj Joe, yours is super snazzy!

Today was unseasonably warm (an understatement); it was 75! So I went for a walk and took a trusty Barlow with me.

Sleek and stately Tip Top, Dean!

I am thankful that Friday has finally appeared because I am truly ready for the weekend! :) Today I had my Old Red Sawcut NF Barlow Clip Blade in my pocket. :D

Sophisticated Northfield Barlow, Ron! Hope you have a smashing weekend!

My knives on kitchen duty this week were an old clip/pen Imperial toothpick and a TrueSharp amber bone SBJr:

Thanks, Gary.

I want to say those marbles were called agates or "aggies" but I could be mistaken. I always liked the clear ones with color swirls inside.

All so great, each of you! 🤙 I just keep carrying the same two every day. I need more imagination I guess? [emoji6]

Brilliant day today, it's been snowing a lot these past days which has been odd because we've hardly had any snow at all. -7c and blue sky hurrah! So I got this out of mothballs to let it have a day out.

We must be on the same wavelength today Will. First the 33's and now the 66's. I just touched up the edge on my jigged bone Yellow Rose. Have a good weekend.

Thankfully retired Will, so I'm off all the days that end in 'y'. I was always a proponent of working Sat/Sun and off the other 5 days.
