I like your new carrying leather

Always enjoy seeing your combos Tom

Lovely knife Dean, hope you're feeling better pal

Champion choices, Jack! The photo of the GEC 85 (I think that's what that teardrop jack is, right?) is magnificent!

Thanks a lot, I think that was one of my very first pics of that knife, and possibly my first in that style :) Taken at a place called Jackdaw Crag, with the River Wharfe below :)

Nice to see your Otter, I was sharpening my Webermesser just the other day

Whoa! I see what you mean, Gary. I've been fighting the flu all week, and now I'm having M.C. Escher fever-dreams looking at that knife.

LOL! :D Hope you get rid of the flu soon r8shell

Hope everyone has a good Friday, and an even better weekend. Back with the 'old firm' today ;) :D

Treating the stainless White Owl to an outing today. I think it's a pity GEC is so parsimonious with their stainless releases though.

Old Tryon barlow today...

RDaneel, I haven't been able to pin down a manufacturing timeframe for the York Dutch barlow. If anyone has an idea I'd be interested.

What a beauty! I love the pinched bolsters, and the jigging on yours is especially lovely.

Thanks Alan. I'm thinking it's more of a good looking tough guy. Thick, heavy, D2 steel. More like an SUV than a car.

GT : You wanted to know about the Car On The Ice : It is in the lake and has been for a couple of weeks . Last year it went through the ice on or about Feb 29 . Stopped by this morning after getting the Prius tested for emissions .

Carrying these today : 73 and Western Colo HJ

French ivory covers on that beauty??

and a Rough Rider small stockman (thanks, r8shell) that I also carry every day, and even had the opportunity to show off in a class yesterday when Euler and his Identity happened to come up!

You are correct sir, they are plastic .... errrrrr I mean French Ivory :). I love the Euler's Identity knife, although most of the math is lost on me :D
