What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

That's a very classy looking knife, Tim!

Alox of the Week is a Vic Farmer:

Nice green Alox, GT! I think I saw somewhere that the 2017 Limited Edition Vic Alox is supposed to be a sort of olive green. I'm looking forward to that. I have a Pioneer in the 2015 dark blue, but I passed on last year's bright purple.

Good looking Pattada! ("Resolza" was the word that came to my mind first, but I saw "Pattada" on the sheet there, and I've seen both terms before. Is there a difference?"

Single blade ebony Days Work TC:thumbup:

Beautiful Ebony TC, Paul!

Today I carried two things from folks on the porch: the Yellowheart #14 TC I was gifted by my good friend StoneBeard, kept safe and cozy by mrszeontestpilot's handiwork.

Thank you both of you. :)

Greg, that Yellowheart wood looks so nice, especially with the satin bolsters. What a wonderful gift to receive!

I've been carrying this #15 Crown Lifter today.

Today called for a 42 Missouri Trader in a belt pouch, and a little Cattaraugus swell Center Jack in the front pocket.

Have a great day guys

Thank you GT for your kind words on my carry .
You will not see a a TEW Barlow Trio shot because I do not have a trio of the TEW Barlows .
I did post a picture of my TEW Trio shot in the Taylors Eye Witness thread .
Your Knife Schedule Sheet must look very much like a London Underground Schedule book .
Your JJ Martinez looks like it could be a pretty handy user .
...
Harry
I'm always happy to see this one get its turn in your rotation. :)
...
Wow. Really like that Martinez. The anchor icon and overall shape/size must add up to a great little knife.
...
Harry, I don't know what has happened to my brain! With the picture of your new TEW right in front of me, I still call it a Barlow! I may not know much about knives, but a Barlow is one pattern that I thought I could recognize. :o Thanks for the tip on where I could see a photo of your 3 TEWs in your display case - very cool!
And you & Greg & MJ71 are right about that Martinez - an inexpensive, ABS-handled knife with only one blade, but I like it a lot!

...
Thanks, Gary!
No smoke & mirrors..... just a little editing. ;)

Your weekly spreadsheet must be just as amazing as the cutlery it carries (<--- there's a "pun" somewhere in there, I think :D).
Undeniably an excellent array.
Thanks, Dee. The spreadsheet is pretty basic: 12 rows representing a dozen knife categories (canoe, stockman, miscellaneous, etc.) and 20 columns (currently) each representing a week's worth of knives to be carried.

Here we go... did I do pretty good for $16?
View attachment 693422
willytk, I'd pay $16 for that Buck whittler any day (and maybe twice that on Sunday).

Today a Portuguese knife certainly ...

Today VIC Waiter modified, with stag covers...

I really like the simplicity of your Portuguese friction folder, Pt-Luso. But I also like the added complexity of the stag covers on your Vic!

Newly revived A.W.Wadsworth & Son

Superb revivification, Rachel! I didn't realize how impressive a job you'd done until I happened to run across your related post in the "Modified Production Knives" thread.

Actually, I just forced a patina on my 7. Habenero hot sauce.

That patina is pretty hot, too!

...
Well, its a long story.
...
So, thanks again, Jake, for giving me my boys knife, and being the spark that started the fire of realization that blessings are built from the low points.
Thanks for sharing that long, but thought-provoking, story, Joey! Supposedly, a "geezer" like me is supposed to be passing wisdom along to relative "youngsters" like you, but I think I learned good lessons about being a dad, husband, Christian, and friend from your post!

GT,
I like that Green Farmer. I have a blue one and absolutely love it. One of my favorite knives, especially on the trail.
...
...
I like the green on that Farmer! You have ignited a desire in me to get an alox Farmer. I will fight the temptation, but will I win?
...
Today, I carried my fake pearl handled Buck Cadet and ebony TC.

Thanks, Stan and Dean and Barrett, for the Farmer compliments. :) Mine was advertised as "olive green" (although the light in my photo seems to brighten the shade of green), and I think DLT currently has both "olive" and "green" Farmers available, as well as orange, blue, and "copper". Dean, even if it's fake, I like that pearl/ebony pairing! Barrett, I always admire the versatility of the Crown Lifters (or Radio Jacks or Beer Scouts).

Wheeler80, Rough Rider has some NICE whittlers!

That's a stunner, Paul; I don't think spey blades get the respect they deserve!

Thank you both of you. :)
Very nice, Greg; the knife, the knit (?) slip, and the sentiments you express are all commendable!

It was a Douk Douk kind of day.

I like that dapper Douk^2, FBC!

Thanks for all your kind words GT :) Nice knives, well-photographed. By coincidence, ADEE gifted me an Ankermesser this afternoon :)

ADEE gave me an Anchor Knife yesterday :) No name on the tang stamp, but it's a nice solid Sheepsfoot with great ergonomics. Went straight into my pocket

Congrats on the arresting anchor knife, Jack! I'm very taken by the way the grain in the wood "ripples out" from the upper corner!

Congrats on the fine family heirlooms, Joe!
