My 98 today

I've had this Frost Cutlery 3.5 Trapper for quite a long time.
I just took off the sharp point above the main blade pull and made the Spey more to my liking. The main blade slices paper like a pro.
I've been working on the secondary blade and I feel it might be a little thick behind the edge. The inch closest to the body will do great. Farther out is still problematic.

I've had this Case Copperlock since '98 or '99...and had never carried it. A few days ago, I included it in a small list of options to a member that was looking to try a traditional. (He had a budget; but my plan was to simply give him whichever knife he chose.) I never heard back from him; so I guess he didn't like what I had to offer. No big deal...since it was out, anyway, I started carrying it; and have decided that I might as well keep it. The original edge is okay (cuts paper); but it could stand some attention.

It was a long stressful week, so I spent Saturday afternoon sitting on my porch whittling with my new Old Timer Carving Jack.

A beer and a few Band-aids later, I'm relaxed. :)
Very cool key/chain and interesting knife/toolchest, r8shell! Relaxation is under-rated!

Gary, you're a regular Julie Andrews! ;) :D
Thanks, Barrett! :D (How do you solve a problem like GTia?)

...
Thanks GT, we had a good walk, and the weather was great. Cool pic, looks like a healthy feast
...
I'm slipping these two in my pocket today :) Have a great Sunday everyone

Thanks, Jack; I make healthy meals, and when I'm finished, I top them off with a pile of Snyders flavored pretzel pieces with stratospheric fat/chemical/cholesterol index! :o
I envy your ability to bring out the occasional ebony/ivory pairing!

Never paired these two before, but I think they should work well together.

IMHO, either of those knives would look superb combined with ANY other knife, Alan!

Thanks GT! I would gladly accept those royalties if Websters would like to pay :D. Looks like your navy knife made short work of your lunch prep! Beautiful knife

This guy again today :)
Thanks, Jeff. :) That's quite the scenic fishin' hole you've got!

Thanks, GT! I believe he thinks the Weasel belongs to him.
:D:D

Went to Sunday brunch with the wife and my Dixie stockman. They both have nice curves and bumps! :D

That's probably a sweet thing to say, Jeff, but maybe TMI for me. I hope you'll give us advance warning before starting to write about your wife's walk and talk or fit and finish!!:D

Thanks GT, great pic! Where's the meat though? :D
...
With me today:

Another signature pair, Tom!
Thanks for the compliment; Arby's has the meat! ;) Actually, after I nuked the vegetables a bit, I found a couple of slices of roast beef to add to the mix.

Handy little fixed blade helping in the garden today.

Interesting and creative re-purposing of your horizontal shelving unit, r8shell!!:D

Today I have my Arthur Wright lambsfoot with me. It was a gift from the one and only Jack Black and I thought it looks good sitting atop my book about Stan Shaw that also came from Jack.

Beauty, Randy!

I always wonder if Vic Alox fall into the traditional category but for today it's the new Pioneer X Alox. So much knife for the price!

Love your Pioneer X, tomsch; Alox with scissors was a great addition to Vic's lineup! That knife was one of my "resolutions" for 2017, but it's April, and I haven't ordered one yet!

Today I was carrying my Case SBJ Chestnut CV. :)

Sucha Beautiful Jackknife, Ron!

This Gerber Silver Knight and Moki Kronos have been with me this weekend.

Must have been an enjoyable weekend with those two, Frank! Does anyone call those Barlows? I saw in another thread your waxing ecstatic over the Silver Knight and saw a photo with secondary blade open. How does the knife feel when using that little sheepsfoot? It looks like it deploys at an unusual angle.

Thanks a lot Alan

I always enjoy carrying this old Joseph Haywood, smaller than my index finger, but such a useful blade :) Pairing it with my anonymous Anchor Knife

Hope everyone has a great week
As they might say in Madrid, that's a handsome pair for Madera Monday! :D:thumbup:

Just got this old guy in today. Cleaned it up, gave it a better edge, and taking it out for a spin. So far, I'm really liking it.

Looking good, Stringplucker! Did you mod the shape of the clip blade??

That I*XL rocks, Dee!

These two today, both by Utica

Useful Uticas, Jack! Is the Barlow handle purple?

Hi guys, first post at BF!

Here is todays carry!

...
Nice one, Joe! I need to find me an old Klein work knife!

Decisions, decisions.

Do I see jeans there, Alan? With 5 pockets? And 5 knives? No further decisions necessary!! No charge! :D

Today with a Portuguese made by "Veríssimo" in Miranda do Douro!!!

Intriguing knife, Pt-Luso!

Some "heavy metal" for me this week!
My Big Knife of the Week is a Remington Big Daddy Barlow (thanks, Shawn):

My European Knife of the Week is an olive wood Joker (it also takes up quite a bit of pocket space):

My non-Alox SAK of the Week is a 4-layer Vic Explorer (not exactly petite):

And my non-SAK Bailed Knife is a Böker USA Electrician with plenty of heft (thanks, Mark):

Not the thread for it obviously.
Don't you hate a two blade knife with two EXTREMELY different blades? The main on the Frost is everything I could ask for. The secondary blade feels sharp, plucking at my fingers etc. But it won't do paper worth spit.

Good one, GT, and I really like the heavy metal! I've got a big Remmy also, the Master Guide banana trapper jack at 5.32" closed.

As always, thanks Gary. It just proves that I have too many knives. I cut back from five to three. I eliminated the 15 elk because it's too precious to carry. I also eliminated the tortoise shell 83 because it's not kosher and I'm attending a Seder tonight.

Thanks GT, it's a special place for my family and me. It's by Mount Shasta and it's called lake siskyou. A pic from the map/message board with my now ever present 13

Now that olive wood joker you have is a nice looking carry. I was curious how you carry so many knives at once but I think I found the solution on Google :D

Holy mackerel rockgolfer!

I've still got this one in pocket. It's funny, I have about 3 or 4 of these style of basic jack knives, and a Barlow too, but the size and blade combo/arrangementioned never really did anything for me... But this one I Love! Might have a lot to do with how I got it, but then again I wanted it when I went in on the GAW...

Just something about this little black beauty I guess. :)

That is an interesting way to use an old shelf unit r8shell .
I am anxious to see how it works with your tomatoes too. I have not found what I consider to be a good Tomato Cage yet .
