No picture really represents this bone, with a flash light on it, its pretty much translucent! but depending on the light it can go from a light chocolate brown to pure black, very much impressed even if its not a perfect knife and quite worn (no blade blade though and incredible snap).

This one, for about the last week and a half. Displaced my dated Buck 303.

I'm sure Mr. Sears would have liked that Kirk Scagel, Elliott. Nice one.

I admire Ray Kirk's knives. He's on my short list.

Thanks, Gary, he's definitely one of the good guys.. Ray's been a good friend for a dozen years or more. He knows how to get the most out of his forged 52100 (and damascus) and puts a serious edge on. You'd have to look hard to find a more humble and unassuming master smith.

I dropped this Case 6292 "Texas Jack" in my pocket yesterday and will carry it through today and into the coming week.

Off to Church with my Brent Cramer LCJ in my pocket. Brent will appreciate that I hope. He's a minister. Have a great day folks!

And this rejected Western. I don't know why it was rejected but it looks like Western was ground out.

Both knives sharpen up real nice.

My first GEC

Great looking GEC #62! I've been looking at one of those for a week or so. Tell me, is the spring configuration whittler style? I.e., does the primary wharncliffe blade use two springs which each support one of the secondary blades, or is it a 3-spring design, or, I guess it could also be a 2-spring design with the wharncliffe only on one spring. (Guh, rambling, need to go to bed...)

Anyway, nice knife. I'd love to see a shot of the spring side with the blades open.

It's a true whittler spring config. Small blades ride on one backspring, separated by a wedge spacer. Main blade rides on both. I've got one in garnet bone. Great knife.

This makes for a nice combo.

Really good small sheath knife on view there, like it. Could you give some details please?

Today it's a Tidioute 56 Dogleg Spear in Amber Bone, the more you use this knife the better it gets, and SO sharp!:D GEC by far my favourite manufacturer at the moment.

Carrying the Northwoods Mini-Moose to the office for the first time today (I had last week off).

Thanks! That's an older Blind Horse Patch knife (saw blade steel) and a yeller 31048 in a KSF Pocono pocket sheath.
Sent you an email.
