The local peach crops took a hit from the weather this year to the tune of 70% loss. Depending on who you listen to. These are the first Free Stones we have been able to find so far this year and they came from South Carolina. Pam and I decided we couldn't wait until we got home so I turned the Squirrels loose on the console of my Silverado. :D

"Turned the squirrels loose". Haha...I like that!

I've been carrying my Rough Rider KB120 for the last few days and I love it. It's little but still does the job!

Spent some quality time beauty shopping this last night. The recesses of the jigging were quite dull. After trying to clean with cleaner and a brush I resorted to some Flitz cream and a buffer pad on my Dremel tool, then followed up with paste wax.

That is an extremely good-looking Böker Barlow, Tom!:cool:

It is a very small knife, it's just under 3 inches closed and just over 5 inches opened.
Thanks for the follow-up, Kevin. I think a lot of makers sell a lot of those small toothpicks!

It was a great trip, and yes, I put the blue alox SAK in the package to mail ahead, thinking Mom might take a liking to it. Years ago, she bought herself "the one with all the tools" :D a Swiss champ, maybe? But she said this one was too big for her. To be honest, watching her open and close it made me nervous. I tried to show her the way to open a slipjoint smoothly, keeping fingers out of the way, but there was something just so awkward about her handling of it - it could be a hand strength issue. Anyway, back in the box it went to mail home. She still loves and uses the mini-champ I got her for her keyring.
IMHO, your mom's affinity for a Vic Minichamp shows excellent taste, since I carry one every day (used the pen to take notes on the sermon in church this morning :p). I hope I'll recognize when the ravages of age make it unsafe for me to mess around with pocket knives!

I know they're meant to be hard use work knives, but I've always thought the black covers and silver bolster made that TL-29 model one of the most elegant-looking knives!:cool:

An Elderly Gentleman maybe my friend!:D That Colt is a great looking knife Gary! I do actually own a two blade Hayn' Helper. It's an O1 model from the original run in 2012. It's in Nifebrite. :) Here you go buddy.

Today I was Totin this Chestnut Jigged Bone Case Texas Jack in CV. I got this one for a song on that big ole auction site. When I get a chance I think I'm going to clean it up a little and start a good apple patina on it. ;)

That chestnut jigged Texas jack is a fantastic pick-up for you!:thumbsup:

Today I was carrying a new to me knife that I scooped up from @Cory Hess. Thanks Cory! I love this knife, it is quite a handful, which suits me wonderfully.

Congrats on the big new Queen stockman, Dylan!:thumbsup: Cory is a quality man; I miss having him around more often and hearing his usually unique and thoughtful take on issues discussed on The Porch.

Thanks Gary!
Brilliant equation. :thumbsup::D

Those are some great looking Canoes that won't sank the ship.
(Ship = Bank Account) :D
Thanks, Dee!;)

Thanks GT! That looks like a lovely vacation spot and a fine sodbuster too!
Thanks, Mark; we've rented the same little cottage for a week or two for 27 straight years, I think, so we must enjoy it! :D

Today I carry this Portuguese brand "Autuno" with covers of olive wood ...

Inspired by Drew @dispatch184 from Thursday, and thinking a lot about the upcoming Rendezvous. This was one of many memorable souvenirs from the 2015 Rendezvous! :D

I've been carrying my Unity Lambsfoot (above) a lot this week, but switched over to my A.Wright in buffalo (below) today:thumbsup:

Pairing it with this Croisdale Sleeveboard :)

Why YOU of all people, Jack, having such ongoing tech issues?? Great photos today, but something about that photo of the buffalo Wright seems very noteworthy to me!!:thumbsup:

George gets more handsome as he ages!!:cool:

Have a long, hot sweaty day ahead of me so carrying all stainless. The city knife is actually in a belt sheath today but it looks better framed against a pocket sheath :).

I really like that black and blue pairing, Tom!:cool:

Here are knives I pocket-carried 2 weeks ago that have served on kitchen duty for the past 7 days.

No problem, yes they are small but definitely not useless.
They are perfect for opening boxes, letters or slice fruit.
