What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Thanks, Tom. That Buck pack seems immense compared to the tasteful little black leather one I've been strapping on/off this week!!
GT, I posted that mostly due to the Buck branding. Then again, you could fit a week's rotation AND the laptop to check your spreadsheet in that thing.:p

I was reminded by your sweet RR sowbelly to ask if you have researched the Chinese cutlery trade. Given the industrious history of China I would not be surprised to find that they've been at this a long time, only recently moving into Western traditionals. The value to price ratio being apparently (I say that, not having handled one yet) so good, it strikes me that these are the modern equivalent of our ancestor's EDCs that could have been had at the local hardware store for a few bucks.

Big Blue today.

I do not mind carrying a folder this big: in fact I prefer it. In it's slip, it stands up in my coin pocket, where it's much less noticeable than my keys or cell phone. The only thing I could wish for in this knife is modern SS blades, a patina not fitting with it's overall bold, showy character.

Four nationalities.

Stuart, that physician's knife is a stunning pice of cutlery! The sleek blades with beautiful swedges and long pull in a long thin handle, the entire package is just right
Thanks, zolthar. The wood is even better looking in real life (aren't we all).
