Neat little knife. Here's some info copied and pasted from KnifeCenter.com. Since they are a paid dealer member I can mention them.

Bascula Medium Folder
Beretta Knives

The Beretta Bascula is a sharp looking Gentleman's Knife. The hand engraved handles mimic the side plates of Beretta's famous SO5 over-and-under shotgun, which is one of the finest competition shotguns ever made. With the capable edge of the 440C stainless steel, it's not only ornamental, but also functional. These would make great gifts for not only family and friends, but also for groomsmen.

Specifications
  • Blade Length: 3"
  • Blade Steel: 440C Stainless Steel
  • Overall Length: 7"
  • Blade Finish: Satin
  • Handle Material: Engraved Stainless Steel
  • Sheath Material: Leather
  • Made in Taiwan

Nice-looking Higo Kevin

I'm not sure either, but @T. Erdelyi posted one similar recently. Great looking engraving on yours!

Thanks r8shell. I think I found the one you speak of DSC_1706 | BladeForums.com. Handle shape looks very similar. With mine, the handle opens around the blade. Once the handle is opened fully, the blade is locked in the open position.

Thanks for the reply r8shell.

Thanks for the reply Peregrin. Googled it and saw some images. That's definitely the one. Mine must be a baby version of it. Looks like about 5 1/2 total with 2 1/2 blade. Thanks for taking the time to reply.

The handle scales are (or are designed to mimic) side plates from a break-action shotgun receiver, including the engraved scrollwork and hinge pin. I have a couple Berettas and recognized them immediately. Old or new, I don't know, but very unique and very nice!

Thanks Stuart. Don't have a Beretta, but may snap a few photos next to some other shotgun scales. I will if it's a good looking picture for the gun/knife thread.

HMS Victory by any chance Donn? Whatever, a nice shot and a useful workmanlike choice.

Thanks, Will

Spot on Will! Cheers! Only had my phone camera. I think that was the mid-gun deck port side looking aft.
BTW all of those cannons are fibre glass...
Another (poorer) pic looking out from the Nelson Museum.
