What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

That, sir, is a very fine example of a pocket knife. That configuration and that bone right there is pretty much perfect in my eyes. How's the walk and talk on it? I've never handled a #77 before.

Does that bone really look a honey-orange color in person? Is it too smooth to really grip?
That looks beautiful. Like I'm looking into a honey jar. I hope the day comes soon when I get one of those. Great knife sir!!!! Thank you kindly for showing it to us!

This week, my peanut-ish knife is this Remington Peanut:

My "Big" Knife of the Week is also my stag/horn knife for this week. It's a Colt stag copperhead (it's not really very big, but c'est la vie ).

My stockman for this week is a Ganzo (thanks, Dave) that is very like a Buck 303, and even more like a Chinese Buck 373:

This week, I also decided to try adding another category to my knife allotment for the week. I'm calling it my K.N.I.F.E. (Knife's New - I Feel Exuberant!) Knife of the Week. It's not a knife that's put on the schedule in advance, like the other knives I carry in a given week. Instead, it will be one of my newest arrivals that hasn't even been added to the schedule yet, but I'll be able to carry it nonetheless while it's fresh and new to me! ;) This week, I carried this Rough Rider Copper Ridge pen knife with copper bolsters and jigged buffalo horn handles:

What a special trio, Steve!!:thumbsup::thumbsup: The scarlet old cross farmer looks so comfortable, and that Utica has scintillating jigging! Is the Leatherman the very first model??

- GT

Thanks GT ! Yes, it's a Black Oxide PST :thumbsup:

That Ivory Northwoods is 99.9% pure, Perry!:thumbsup:;)

I always enjoy seeing that Viper with the rattler tail, Ron!:D I really enjoy seeing the wood-handled knives folks post, but I don't have many of my own; I'll have to write a "Get Wood" note on my "Wanna Buy" list!

What a salubrious pair those Black Box Winchesters are, Mohawk!!:thumbsup::cool:

Such a satisfying knife, Harry!!:thumbsup:

Superb pics of your knife, your dogs, and especially this cloud formation, Paul!:cool:

What a salutary pair, Pt-Luso!!:thumbsup::thumbsup: Congratulations on the new horn knife!:thumbsup: I'm fascinated by the "artwork" on the blades of both knives.

Gary, with that scrumptious contrasting pair, every day must be a Fest of some kind!!:cool::thumbsup:

Black and silver is sophisticated color combo, Jack!:thumbsup::thumbsup: I hope Saturday has helped you recover from a less-than-ideal week. :)

Seductive knife, Stuart, but I'm shocked to learn it's jigged bone (I'd have said stag in a heartbeat)!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Your red and blue knives make a very select pair, Randy!!:cool::thumbsup:

Sensational knife, Dee!:cool::thumbsup: I'd have guessed it was a much bigger knife than a 14, and that dye job is impressive! :)

I'll bet you are! That is one slick 99!!:cool::cool::thumbsup:

Thanks for the ID, Jack.

Shazzam, Atiger!! Sweet butterscotch handles!:thumbsup::thumbsup: (I don't drink whiskey, so I'll say Butterscotch is better scotch! :p)

Thanks for the great advice, r8shell!! :D:thumbsup::thumbsup: I have an annual physical Monday morning, and may have to postpone whatever my knife schedule prescribes for the week until after the appointment!

That 83 stag is an absolute sensual stunner, Alan!!:thumbsup::cool::cool::thumbsup:

That's some serious timber to take into the woods for the weekend, Dylan; enjoy!!:thumbsup::cool:

That scrimshaw r8shell did is something else, Mike!!:cool::cool: I like the way you've been featuring it in your pics this week! ;):thumbsup:

Simple, singular, sublime!!:thumbsup::eek::thumbsup::thumbsup: Thanks for dropping in to stimulate my heart rate, Tim! :D

Sleek pair, John!:thumbsup::cool: The Alox Minichamp is striking (although I'd miss the pen from my celidor model). Your green Peanut is snazzy, too; I have only a couple of green knives, and don't usually think of green as a knife color for me, but a knife like your Peanut gives me second thoughts! ;)

Solid knife, oldtymer; the right tool for the job!!:cool::thumbsup:

Startling pair, GG!! Beauty and the Beast!:thumbsup::cool:;)

Stately, stylish Case, cthorness!:thumbsup::thumbsup::cool: (Whatcha whittlin'? :))

A substantial, festive pair,
So suave and debonair! :thumbsup::cool::thumbsup:;)
Swell choices, Jack!

I agree with you, GT, as to the Case 6205 R having stag slabs, but the "6" means bone in Case-speak. I was gifted the knife and don't know it's provenance; it could have been re-handled before I received it. Looks a lot like stag, but I was staying true to the pattern mark on the tang.

Thanks Jack I always do :D

Spot on Will! Cheers! Only had my phone camera. I think that was the mid-gun deck port side looking aft.
BTW all of those cannons are fibre glass...
Another (poorer) pic looking out from the Nelson Museum.

Glad to hear it my friend :) Cool pic  I picked up a load of postcards a while back with different photos and paintings of the Victory. I was going to offer to send you them, but it seems I've already sent them to others, and there are only three left. Sorry :(

My wife and I are just back from a month in South Korea.

My knife for the entire trip was my trusty Vic Cadet (my brother-in-law laughed when I took this photo - same reaction I get here in the U.S).

When I picked up all our mail at the Post Office, I had a couple of new Barlows. This one was in my pocket today.

Great pics Dean, good to have you back

I like carrying knives that are older than I am.

Also, I'm toting a new "Flea Market Find" Kent made by Camillus for Woolworth's. Possibly 1930's vintage.

Me too! :D I like all of those r8shell :)

I am totin' 3 today, but only really carrying 2 :). My 18 year old cousin wants to try a "big ole" belt knife this whitetail deer season, so I am lending him my bark river (bravo I think).

I have these 2 on my person. Hope everyone is having a fantastic weekend.

I like the big Barkie Tom, and that is a beautiful combination you have there too

My modded bullnose came along for todays park wandering.

Thanks pal, now I just have to recover from Saturday! :D

Great lookers GT, I like your new category! :D :)

I almost forgot to post this today. I grabbed a blue soddie jr. today.

Looking good Randy :)

Dropped this one in my pocket this morning, after reading that it was @waynorth's birthday. Hope you had a good one, Charlie!

Fantastic-looking TCs guys

Here's my pocket pair today :) Have a great Sunday everyone

Me too! :D I like all of those r8shell :)
Thanks, Jack! I'm really jazzed about finding this old Kent, and after cleaning and waxing, I'm pretty sure the handles are cocobolo. There's a lot of quality in a knife sold at a 5&10 cent store during The Great Depression!

I'm going to putter around today, do some sharpening and by dinner time, this old Sportsman's Knife is going to be making paper thin tomato slices.:thumbsup:

It's a great find r8shell :) I love old working knives, and find that old steel generally sharpens up beautifully. I have a friend of mine's grandfather's old fruit knife, and it is sharpened down to a point. I always enjoy using it :) I've just been sharpening myself! :D
