What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Another Boker followed me home the other day.

Nice! Love those Boker Barlows. One of my favorite bolster stamps.

Trying to decide if I need to pick up one of the new ebony #35s.

I've been trying to make the same decision. None of them have spoken to me yet. I normally prefer Tidioutes to Northfields, but maybe one of the Northfield Churchills will have that special something. Or maybe I'll save a little money on this run. :D

Barrett, in the Hunter novel, one of the "bad guys" is the sporting clays shooter (but he's from Arkansas, too).

I have mixed feelings regarding the "feature" about which you vented. The fact that the "linked attachments" do NOT count against the 20-photo/post limit is something that immensely benefits me with my multi-quote posts.:thumbsup: And it keeps the post length shorter for those who aren't interested in many of the quoted photos and are irritated to have to scroll past them. I agree that when composing lengthy posts, not having anything other than the attachment link in the editor can be rather frustrating. I usually click on "More Options" immediately after inserting quotes, and then click "Preview". That leaves me with a preview of how my post will look after posting, as well as a standard editing window to compose the post at the bottom. I often have to scroll up to the preview to click on an attachment to remind me of the photo on which I planned to comment. That's a bit annoying, but not TOO bad IMHO.

You're right, the Preview function does help with that situation. Of course, even Preview takes an extra step to get to on the new software.

Beautiful shot! (And a killer #85 forum knife!)

The new Bird and Trout thread reminded me how much I like this little Krein B&T, in CPM-D2. It helped me cut some potatoes, ham and cherry tomatoes for breakfast this morning. I'll put it on my belt for the day.

Of course my John Lloyd will be along for the ride also.

Gary, I was admiring your Krein Bird & Trout in the other thread but hadn't commented on it yet. It's a great looking knife! (I really like the oversized lanyard hole.)

Olsen OK 511 (1978 or earlier) in bone stag/brass and Queen City Cattleman in Rogers bone (1922-1932).

That Olsen is an interesting knife; not sure I've seen anything quite like that before!

I love this configuration and covers. The Phillips looks like a machine gun on the side of the fuselage.

That is pretty cool, HST. I've noticed a couple of those around here lately; I'm assuming it's a new product for Victorinox?

I've been carrying my #35 forum knife the last few days. I thought maybe it would help me decide if I want to pick up one of the Churchills, but so far, no luck. (It mostly just makes me wish that the Churchill had a spear point main blade, and that the shield was centered rather than offset towards the main blade end.)

Those are classic beauties, Jack.

Nice knife, Bob. Good show, Will!

For wooden Wednesday, I chose one of CSC's last masterpieces.

Thanks a lot Dean, ood to see your Forum Knife :)

Fair pair, Jack!! ;):thumbsup: (Dr. Unity, I presume?) Thanks for judging my knives "interesting"! :)

I spent a little time investigating, and there are at least two sizes of Squirrel: the river site says 3 1/8" and 4 3/8". The Squirrel model I have is definitely over 4 inches closed. (On the other hand, I have the small version of the "standard" Douk Douk, 3 3/8 instead of 4 3/8).

Thanks pal, "interesting" wasn't meant as an insult! :D :p Thanks for the correction on the Squirrel, that's a great pic

Nice combination Shawn :)

That Olsen is a very interesting knife Stuart, beautiful companion too, the bone is outstanding :)

Haven’t been around as much as I should lately, going to try to correct that. Carrying these two on a gorgeous fall day.

Good to see you Tom, and with another superb combo :)

Two very nice traveling companions! Hope you have safe and successful travels my friend!!! ;):D

Today I am around the house and spending some time with this #47 Viper and admiring the Che Chen Rosewood. This one was my 1st Viper, a birthday present from my wonderful wife back in 2014. Hope y'all have a great weekend. :)
