What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

That SAK always makes me smile, HST :):thumbsup::cool:; gonna have to get one, but can't make up my mind about my favorite version.

5K Qs 5K Qs GT : To answer your question , what I am making is a cane with a handle that was the Brass Ball on the tip of a Harness Hames . I do not need a cane yet . I just liked one that I saw during our cruise up the Rhine last May . I hope that I can do as good a job on mine as the guy did on his . The big job now is using the draw knife to turn a 1 & 3/4 inch square of oak into a 1 inch diameter .

Harry
Thanks for the info, Harry; I hope you show off the cane when you complete it. :cool::thumbsup:

The 33 had a bail. It was one of the first knives I bought off the exchange. I was so glad to get it. The original owner told me he had removed it. It's a good thing I grabbed it because I don't recall seeing another in the last couple of years. It seems as if GEC is concentrating on it's larger patterrns.
Thanks for the follow-up, Alan; very classy knife!! :cool::thumbsup::cool:

Congrats on the charismatic Case canoe, The Fort; can't lose when you carry canoes! :thumbsup::thumbsup::cool:

Thanks, Gary. Your Pocket Pal and Buck 303 are classics that everyone should try at least once. The 303 was my daily carry for about a year several years ago. It did good service. :thumbsup:
Thanks, Dean. :thumbsup::)

2011 HJ today.

Congrats on the VERY handsome (and useful, I'll bet) Harness Jack, Paul!! :thumbsup::thumbsup::cool:

My steak knife and brew opener for later today, hope everyone is having a fine weekend.

Couple of pleasing daily doubles, Tom! :thumbsup::thumbsup::cool: Always good to carry a steak knife in case some beef is placed before you. ;) The Primble scout and the Great White BSK are both winners!! :cool::thumbsup::thumbsup:

Stag for today : Northfield 85

Harry
Stellar stag on your 85, Harry!! :thumbsup::cool::cool::thumbsup: Is a clip blade unusual for that model? My (probably selective) memory thinks of those teardrops as having the big spearpoint.

Thanks so much Gary ! I can't even follow simple directions...outlined twice...lol. Thanks for the link to the other thread and i will check it out.
#Real Bloodknot
Took some real Rickson Jiu Jitsu but no blood :D

That braiding looks marvelous, Gev!! :cool::cool::thumbsup::thumbsup: (As does the Remington BSA! :thumbsup::thumbsup:)

Stock shield! The shield fell out when the knife went through my magic knife cleaner (washing machine) and I put it in upside down because I liked the "sterile" side better :)
Cool story, and I think that's a superior look for the shield!! :thumbsup::cool::thumbsup:

I think Hoover was paraphrasing Charlie Campagna GT! :D ;) :thumbsup:

I didn't get a chance to post yesterday, but hope everyone is having a lovely weekend. ...

The ornate lambsfoot and simple Squirrel make a fine couple, Jack! :thumbsup::thumbsup::cool:
You may be right about the influence Charlie C. has had on American presidents! :p:thumbsup: Didn't Teddy Roosevelt adapt Charlie's slogan, "Speak softly and carry a big Pruner"?? ;)

At last sunshine outside! I need a walk as I've pain in the neck and eyes from a bad pillow - feels like binge hangover only it isn't. This will be joining me, thanks again to Bob for the very nice knife pouch. Don't know what type of leather it is but it's thick yet supple.

Thanks for the info Bob, it's exceptionally nice leather, pliant yet tough- I like the W stamped on it too :cool:

I was most fortunate with the Stag on that lockback, both sides are grooved and pocorny and yet it's thin panel Stag not some gross bulbous thing:eek: The 83 is a nice sized knife around the 15's dimensions, pull is of course moderate yet the lockbar is not hard to disengage, useful choice of Clip or Drop-Point blades.

Regards, Will
Hope you get your neck pain straightened out soon, Will. :( (I've had fewer occurrences of neck pain since I started taking daily doses of Omega-3/fish oil - but it's not a controlled experiment. :rolleyes:) That Tacosa and sheath are outstanding!! :thumbsup::thumbsup::cool: Your stag 83 makes me consider searching for a similar lockback!

I put this TC that Bigbiscuit gifted me in my pocket for today.. Thanks again Bob

Excellent, Randy! :cool::thumbsup::thumbsup:

I don't know if I've shown you guys my Utica Tungsten. :D

:D:D I seem to be experiencing deja vu, Jer! ;) That's worth showing a time or two! :thumbsup::thumbsup:;)

Thank you! Lately, when I'm carrying the right combo of large/small knives and straight/curved blades, I often forget to even clip a modern knife to my pocket! :D
Rachel, that looks like a combo that proclaims, "We don't need no stinking moderns!" :thumbsup::thumbsup::cool::D:thumbsup:

Intriguing knife, Z!! :thumbsup::thumbsup::cool:

Another radiant knife, Steve!! :cool::thumbsup::thumbsup:

Congrats on picking up that fantastic Uncle Henry, Grateful!! :cool::thumbsup::thumbsup: How big is that knife? Is it the Uncle Henry version of the 18OT Mighty Mite?

Haven't carried this one for a while, will remedy that today.

Stunning, Jake! :thumbsup::cool::thumbsup:

Oooooh they had the seasonal specials! :p Caramel drizzle short stack, 2 over medium, hash browns, bacon, sausage links and about a half gallon of good fresh brewed coffee!!!:D Needless to say I skipped the noontime meal today! ;) Enjoy the rest of your weekend! :)

I know it will be well worth the wait! ;) It was probably some leprechaun trying to pull some shenanigans on me!! :D
OK, I have to get some breakfast now, Ron!! :eek:;)
Good to hear that shenanigans are in your future. ;) What goes around, comes around! :D

What's the story with that Vic??!?? :confused::confused:;)
