What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Carrying the Boker Pocket Anchor ⚓ bay Jack. Have a good day.

Just heading through the park on the way to the flea market.

IThanks pal, it's not so bad :D Nice pic of your Lambsfoot, hope the market was worth going to. I'll try and get over again next week :thumbsup:

Thank you, Alan. That little knife is a Keen Kutter, re-clad in recycled piano key. View attachment 778325

:cool: :thumbsup:

Thanks Drew! :) I also think the 92’s, both the Eureka Jack and the Talon, are some of GEC’s most attractive patterns! :thumbsup: Today I’m thinking more and more about a package from across the pond! ;)

Gotta be tomorrow Ron! :D :thumbsup:

Thanks r8shell r8shell . It reminds me of the little knife JP sent me. But this one is acrylic .

Nice :) :thumbsup:

We had a fine weekend!
:thumbsup::):thumbsup: Glad your visit was enjoyable, deltaboy!

It's 3 5/8" closed. It's built on the medium stockman frame.
Thanks for the info, Grateful. :thumbsup: That's a much bigger knife than the Old Timer Mighty Mite, which is under 3" closed; having a liner lock on a knife so small seems strange to me, but makes sense on your bigger Uncle Henry. :cool:

I still haven't gotten the hang of the new multi-quote and 5K Qs's post just blew my mind--haha!

Nice knives, guys!
Thanks, Jake (I guess :rolleyes:). I may not know much about knives, but I've got the multi-quote basics down! ;)

Very nice polishing done on that Buck' bolsters. Nice to see that there are still some great knives coming from Buck:thumbsup:

Nice shots of that work-worthy lambsfoot, scruffuk! :cool::thumbsup::thumbsup:

5K Qs 5K Qs a friend of mine just got back from Switzerland and got my son and I some chocolate Vics!!!! LOL
I fell for that one!! :eek::rolleyes: After hearing scrteened porch's story of his Vic that went through a bottle return machine, I'm apparently expecting to see distressed SAKs more often! ;)

Steve is that a 494 it looks like it I love that Barlow. I saw one posted here and fell in love went on a search for one that lasted for months and finally found a mint example. To be honest I like it better than my TC Barlows ( sorry Charlie :D) Not carrying it today but had to show it off.

Steve & Randy, those Böker Barlows with the bolster trees are superb!! :thumbsup::thumbsup::cool:

Carrying my stag dou, a #66 stockman and #72 lockback.

Great knives and pics, everyone.

Some lovely Buffalo Lambsfoot.
AMEN to that, Chin!! :thumbsup::thumbsup::cool::thumbsup::thumbsup:

The Eureka is my knife for the day...
MoL0kV.jpg
GT They make a fine compact lockback, you should keep an eye out for one.

Might try the supplements you suggest, I'm a believer in vitamins, but I think it's a pillow problem (likely snoring too:D):eek:

Paul A fine choice my friend:cool::cool::D

Regards, Will
Excellent Eureka, Paul, and very similar, if not identical, to one Will displayed yesterday or Sunday!! :thumbsup::thumbsup::cool:

What a looker, Tom!! :cool::cool::thumbsup::thumbsup: What wood is used for the handles?

...
I couldn't decide which of these knives to carry today, so I carried both of them.

Who says indecision is a BAD thing?? ;):thumbsup::thumbsup: That Catt is especially alluring to me, Dean! :cool::thumbsup::cool:

W:eek:W, Gev!! :thumbsup::cool::thumbsup:

Thanks GT, that definitely sounds like a line from Charlie! :D Great-looking Buck Canoe, is that new (can't keep up with all your Canoes)? :thumbsup:
...
Thanks for the Buck canoe comment. It's not very new, but each canoe gets carried quite infrequently because there are quite a few! :rolleyes: In fact, I took a group shot on Sunday:

Still packing this one every day. Old photo, as it's very gray and rainy out today.

Superlative knife, Alan!! :cool::thumbsup::thumbsup:

Decided to continue with the fixed blade for a few more days.
Ah, the renowned Recruit!! :cool::cool::thumbsup:

Your Rams horn knives all look pretty nice GT !!! That Buck Canoe looks very nice .
I will make sure you get to see some pictures of the Cane when it is finished . I had some time to do some more on it today .
I do not know that a Clip Blade would be unusual on an 85 . I only have 2 of them . They other one has a Sabre Spear and I consider that an unusual blade .

Harry
Thanks for your good words about my knives, Harry. :) Looking forward to seeing your finished cane. A summer storm took down a bunch of oak limbs in my yard, and I have a couple of oak branches drying in the garage that I hope to eventually turn into walking sticks.

Running a little late tonight, but this 92 Ebony Talon was the one for today! :)

Love that imperial scout there, I may have to keep an eye out for one at yardsale.. ect.

Btw I was freaking out yesterday because I was walking the dog when I noticed that the camo classic you sent me wasn't in my pocket.
I was ready to retrace my steps and look high and low, but I got home and it was on the couch where I was sitting.

I've been rather busy the last several days and haven't been able to chime in much, if at all. Just getting caught up on some threads during some downtime at work. Lots of fantastic knives over the weekend, wish I could comment on them all!

Running a little late tonight, but this 92 Ebony Talon was the one for today! :)

I think I have complimented this knife before, but I must do so again, it is such a fantastic knife. Your picture really captures that gorgeous ebony so well.

View attachment 778301 Carrying the first TC I ever owned. And it remains a favourite. The snap, centering and quality are all spot on. But it's the aging and "smoothing" of the walnut with time and wear that really appeals. Great photos one and all. MJ.

Fantastic picture! I love the character that has been imbued into your knife, that walnut is wonderful.

Great duo! The woods on those TCs are just fantastic.

What a terrific and extensive assortment of Canoes, GT! I must admit, the Canoe has not captured my interest, as of yet. But when it comes to knives in particular, I have learned to say, "Never say never!" One of these days I will have to give the pattern a go.

I have these two with me today, an early "Wooden Wednesday", in a sense. I suspect one of them will likely be usurped by something that isn't wooden at some point tomorrow....

Gotta be tomorrow Ron! :D :thumbsup:

I’m thinking maybe I’ll get lucky and get home in time for the delivery tomorrow or I will probably have to pick it up at the post office on Thursday! :)

Elegant 92, Ron!! :cool::cool::thumbsup::thumbsup:

I ran into this little guy in the park today and had to get a pic with the stag jack.

Ron, that's a very distinguished lambsfoot example you have!! :thumbsup::thumbsup::cool: I hope your Guardian version arrives ASAP! :thumbsup::)

This is a borrowed Blade Forums knife. I traded a few knives with my Brother-in-Law for a few weeks. View attachment 778329

Testing a new photo hosting site.

I'd say your new host passed with flying colors, Tom! :thumbsup::cool::thumbsup:
But, "How can you have any pudding if you don't COOK yer meat?" :D:rolleyes:

Carrying these two today; one old, one not so old.

That's a charming couple of knives, Stuart! :thumbsup::thumbsup::cool:

Quite the polished pair of wood TCs, Dee!! :cool::thumbsup::thumbsup::cool:

5K Qs 5K Qs GT, you are correct: that was a Vic Recruit that I took to my reunion over the weekend, not a Cadet (as I stated). I was packing while posting and barely thinking clearly. I used it to pop some beers on a deck overlooking the Atlantic, so a worthwhile carry.
- Stuart
Sounds like it came in handy, Stuart! :thumbsup::thumbsup:

Intriguing sawcut on your Camillus Barlow, Steve! :cool::thumbsup::thumbsup:

Thanks, H&S. :) Glad you found your camo Classic :thumbsup::thumbsup:; the camo covers are cool, unless you drop the knife outdoors when the camo is WAY less than ideal! :eek::thumbsdown:

Thanks, Dylan; I had no idea I'd fall for the canoe pattern as hard as I did, but the first time I ever carried one, it was scheduled to be in my pocket for a week that turned out to be three weeks! Try it, you might like it!! :D Your wooden pair today is irresistible! :cool::thumbsup::thumbsup:

No worries, GT! (After that performance in the NLDS, I'm perfectly happy not to be a Diamondbacks fan right now.) :rolleyes:

How are you liking that Yeller CV Pen Knife?

View attachment 776967 Got this one last week, been carrying it ever since!

Good looking (older?) Case Canoe. :thumbsup: I love the etch on those knives!

2011 HJ today.

Great knives and pics, everyone.

Some lovely Buffalo Lambsfoot.

To use what could very well be a quote from GT's book of alliterative knife compliments: Holy Hair-raising Horn! :eek: :D

Cold in the mornings here as well Heath, hit 32 degrees lastnight:eek: My wife's pansies are tough suckers though and are still hanging in there:thumbsup:

The Eureka is my knife for the day...

Stay warm, Paul! (We've still got highs in the upper 90's here, but at least it's cooling off in the mornings finally!) :D

Love that Eureka Jack! :thumbsup:

I ran into this little guy in the park today and had to get a pic with the stag jack.
