What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

I was ill the last days. Had a bad flu. Today I went better so I went out for a walk. The Buck 301 followed me.

Kind regards
Andi

the same bone-stag "snap-on" brand large stockman I have been using and carrying since 8/29. The only time I can remember not using this knife in the last 2 months is 3 days in new jersey at my brother's wedding when I used only a vic classic SD. Otherwise, this stockman has handled all of my pocket knife needs for the last two months. It is a little worse for wear but it's a work knife. Still snaps hard and has no play.

I am still carrying this knife. I left it home while I was away for the holidays in wisconsin and still carry a serrated one hand folder for emergencies on my lobster boat but this is the first knife I use for cutting anything. I just used it the other day to splice more rope. It has been used pretty hard but for a $35 chinese made slipjoint it has already surpassed my expectations.

Syracuse NY, January 11, 2012 and not a patch of snow on the ground, and darn near 50 degrees. This year our snow total so far is 12.9". Last year by Jan. 17 we had 103". So I took a walk in the woods with these two sharp companions. I didn't have to wear snow shoes. :)

Stopped by home for a minute just before dark and snapped this one in the rain with the cell phone. Framed it too :D

Yeah Gary, that Fixed blade is really a looker. I would like to hear the info too :)

Weird weather in the 60's around here...weird.

Thanks guys.

That was made by Mace Vitale. It's his Personal Utility model. Forged 1084 with copper liners and Sambar stag scales.

That's REALLY nice Gary. Thanks for the info and additional perspective. I'm going to have to look into that one. Looks like a great companion for the woods.
