Ebony beauties on this Lord’s day.

Johan Ellis Dama Dogleg - the scales I bought years ago from USA, supposedly Westinghouse Micarta, but they look more like old Ivory Micarta

Johan has used red spacers that bleed from bolster to handle, nice touch

Your Guardians Lambsfoot is as stunning as ever :thumbsup::thumbsup:, Jack, but those old Richards models bring back memories to me (but of similar Imperials, rather than "exotic" Richards knives). :cool::cool: All single blades in your pic?

Scrumptious 2-blade sawcut Schrade, Wayne, and delightful "descendants", Tim and Paul! :cool::thumbsup::thumbsup: Paul, your two TC Barlows from the past couple of days are a pristine pair! :cool::cool::thumbsup:

Congrats on the appealing stag lambsfoot, Ted! :cool::cool::thumbsup:

Yikes, that brilliant blue Farmer wakes me right up, Tom! :thumbsup::thumbsup:;)

Noble old scout, Gev!! :cool::cool::thumbsup: That's a different knife than the one with the USA shield you posted recently, right?

"Fashion" is definitely NOT my middle name, but those are stylish socks, @jprime84 !! ;):thumbsup::thumbsup::cool:

I'm not familiar with British racing green, and I have very few green knives, but that H&R mini canoe is a color I really like (and the knife has one of my favorite shields, too). ;):cool:

Thanks, Stuart. :) I spent decades in which the only knife I ever used was a $2 plastic-handled serrated steak knife in the kitchen, so since I became obsessed with traditional pocket knives, I've always kept an eye out for one with a serrated blade. I knew the Schrade USA Blazer was one such model, but I never found one with a price I liked. When I saw this Chinese version (that came with a deck of cards showing Schrade classics) for a single figure price, I couldn't resist. :rolleyes:

Massive mail call, willard0341 willard0341 ; congrats! :thumbsup::cool::thumbsup: What's the little pen knife next to the linesman's knife?

Same old sensational, Buzz!! :cool::cool::thumbsup::thumbsup:

Evocative ebony, Dylan!! :cool::thumbsup::thumbsup::cool: After retirement, I hope to spend a little more time looking for vintage knives, and more time cleaning house, gardening, napping, walking (with dogs), and reading promiscuously.

Resplendent Barlows, Dean! :cool::thumbsup::thumbsup: The script Barlow stamp on the Catt is one of my all-time favorites, and the 2-blade sawcut Camillus is a quintessential Barlow IMHO! :thumbsup::thumbsup:;)

Yet another pic of a desirable Barlow! Very fine, Steve!! :eek::thumbsup::thumbsup::cool:

I, for one, am seldom sickened by seeing superlative stag!! :cool::cool::thumbsup::thumbsup:;)

Thanks for the additional info, @strokednbored .:) I've never though about the security issues that arise with almost everyone carrying their own personal "spy camera" (1960s term :rolleyes:). :eek:

Intriguing 2-blade lambsfoot, @Cutfinger ! :thumbsup::thumbsup::cool:

Thanks for the info, Travman! :) I sometimes try to find GEC models that folks post by looking at the arrays of photos in the "Collect by Pattern" section at GEC's website, but that source must be incomplete.

Tremendous twosome, JTB_5 JTB_5 ! :thumbsup::cool::thumbsup: This thread is filled with Barlows lately!

Mellow yellow!! :cool::cool::thumbsup::thumbsup:

Stupendous stag, Stuart; the Mohawk canoe is marvelous!! :cool::thumbsup::thumbsup: Admirable alliteration, too! ;)

My weekly photo of the knives I ALWAYS carry:

That is an 09 Esquire sir in snake wood. Even though it is small the fit and finish is top notch. Bigger mail call than usual for sure. Good day

Thanks, Gary. That's welcomed praise coming from a master practitioner.
@Redbeardo Piggy go sleepy? Great pics and a fine knife.
joeradza joeradza @rinos black mamba black mamba Chui Chui Fabulous knives and great pictures of them. What a way to greet the day!

The recent barrage of barlows has steeled me for the day ahead. It is a cold, wet, raw day here, such that one must head out two-fisted and determined. I have chosen to carry two knives that were born for utility and hard, if unheralded, work. One is a recently steady EDC (along with daily picks), a Sabre. The other is a Craftsman "Old Crafty", which I believe was produced by Schrade for Sears & Roebuck in the period 1961-1970s. As Merle Travis penned and Tennessee Ernie Ford crooned:
"One fist of iron, the other of steel
If the right one don't a-get you, then the left one will."

View attachment 836863 It’s finally warmed up a bit, but the cloud cover and rain have us inside. Nothing like an Antique Yellow to bring it all together. Fiona agrees.
Fiona looks just like my Rosie

I don't watch pet videos on YouTube (like my wife does for hours), but I'm a sucker for the knife pics that also feature dogs! :thumbsup::cool::rolleyes: Great shots, Joe & Steve! :cool::thumbsup::thumbsup::cool:

A City Knife and a newly purchased Winchester today.

Congrats on that Black Box Winchester 2857, Tom! :cool::thumbsup::thumbsup: There are quite a few of those that show up on The Porch now and then. What do you call yours? I've seen "dogleg jack", "bullet jack", "teardrop jack", "torpedo jack", and "candle-tip jack" applied to that model! :confused:

Carrying my latest Camillus

#17 Heavy Jack knife

Big-league bone on your Camillus, Steve! :thumbsup::cool::cool:

An Opinel DIY. A handy thing to have in one's pocket on the weekend.

Interesting Opinel, Frank. :thumbsup::cool: Does the driver bit fit into the butt of the handle? Are the notches in the blade intended to be wire strippers, or a small stretch of serration?

Headed to my oldest sons to watch SU vs Pitt and eat Chinese food. Of course I have to pick up the food....
This particular rivalry is one of my favorites. I don't really care who wins as I went to SU, my dad went to Pitt. I just enjoy the game.
These are along for the ride today.

Whatever the outcome of the game was, you've got to be a winner with that pair in your pocket, Gary! :cool::cool::thumbsup:;)

Nice! Here's one I bought in 1970 & carried everyday for about 30 years.

It's impressive to see an Uncle Henry that served you for SO long, @Ironbut !! :cool::cool::thumbsup:

The 78 has been stealing all the pocket time really enjoy this one!:D
With the uniform patina on that superb spearpoint, and the ravishing checkered bone covers, that knife is absolutely drop-dead gorgeous!!! :eek::eek::thumbsup::cool::cool::thumbsup:

My layin' around the house readin' a book carry is this little Queen.

Looks like good times for a Saturday, FBC!! :cool::cool::thumbsup:;)

Hope y'all are having a good weekend so far! :) I have had these two in tow today. :D

Stag & horn win the daily double, Ron! :thumbsup::thumbsup::cool:

Sorry folks, I have lost all the posts I multiquoted twice now, both yesterday and today :( Wonderful knives y'all are carrying :thumbsup:

I'm carrying this Unity Lambsfoot today, along with the wee #25. Hope everyone has a great Sunday :thumbsup:

I hope your magnificent knives can abate your frustration over the multiquotes misfire, Jack! :thumbsup::cool::thumbsup:

Thank you very much GT, Imperials would be "exotic" here :) I have lots of Richards knives with more than one blade, but as a kid, most of the ones I had were singles, probably because they were the least expensive :) I always enjoy seeing your Essentials together, have a great Sunday my friend :thumbsup:
Thanks, Jack. :) I have a couple of "exotic" Imperials on my kitchen counter lately - see below. :D

Vive la France, one new and one I have used for years.
Some very attractive wood, Travman and Leslie!! :thumbsup::thumbsup::cool: I'm guessing bocote for Travman's EO sheepsfoot 25, but what's the nicely-grained wood on your new Opinel, Leslie?

Always great to see your regular carries Gary! I know each one is special in their own way, but I always think of Bob when I see that Chestnut CV Sod Buster JR! :)

I’ll be keeping these two close today! Hope everyone has a blessed Sunday! :)

Thanks, Ron. :) It's hard to believe that it was only 3 years ago that I won that knife in Bob's GAW before his first surgery.
I like your "micarta pair" today! :thumbsup::cool::p:p (That photo of your Midnight Special makes the horn look to me like micarta with that grain.)

Ooh, la, la, JTB_5 JTB_5 ! :thumbsup::cool::cool::thumbsup:

Sweet stag on that jack, Jeff!! :cool::thumbsup::cool:

Thanks for the info, willard0341 willard0341 . :) That Esquire looks like treasure! :cool::thumbsup::thumbsup:

Desirable duo, Stuart! :thumbsup::thumbsup::cool: I enjoy seeing the striking TC Barlows and the Northfield 77 Barlows around here, but I think I'd rather just have a nice nostalgic vintage model. ;):cool::cool:

I picked up some DMT Diafolds a while back, and my wife gave me a Flexcut strop and some Flexcut gold compound for Christmas, so I was "honing" my feeble sharpening skills on a couple of my old Imperials. And much to my surprise, both blades on both of these knives are much sharper after relatively little time spent! :confused::eek::thumbsup::thumbsup::D I've been amazed how well they've been performing on food prep this week! (Both pictured before the recent successful sharpening sessions.)
