Ebony beauties on this Lord’s day.
Manuel Saldana's Ironwood/CF dogleg simply glows in the daylight.

Nice knife, but I see you're opening it like Mike at CK does.![]()
LOL...that’s the first thing I thought of as well! I don’t think I could open a pocketknife that way.![]()
That is an 09 Esquire sir in snake wood. Even though it is small the fit and finish is top notch. Bigger mail call than usual for sure. Good dayYour Guardians Lambsfoot is as stunning as ever, Jack, but those old Richards models bring back memories to me (but of similar Imperials, rather than "exotic" Richards knives).
All single blades in your pic?
Scrumptious 2-blade sawcut Schrade, Wayne, and delightful "descendants", Tim and Paul!Paul, your two TC Barlows from the past couple of days are a pristine pair!
Congrats on the appealing stag lambsfoot, Ted!
Yikes, that brilliant blue Farmer wakes me right up, Tom!
Noble old scout, Gev!!That's a different knife than the one with the USA shield you posted recently, right?
"Fashion" is definitely NOT my middle name, but those are stylish socks, @jprime84 !!
I'm not familiar with British racing green, and I have very few green knives, but that H&R mini canoe is a color I really like (and the knife has one of my favorite shields, too).
Thanks, Stuart.I spent decades in which the only knife I ever used was a $2 plastic-handled serrated steak knife in the kitchen, so since I became obsessed with traditional pocket knives, I've always kept an eye out for one with a serrated blade. I knew the Schrade USA Blazer was one such model, but I never found one with a price I liked. When I saw this Chinese version (that came with a deck of cards showing Schrade classics) for a single figure price, I couldn't resist.
Massive mail call,willard0341 ; congrats!
What's the little pen knife next to the linesman's knife?
Same old sensational, Buzz!!
Evocative ebony, Dylan!!After retirement, I hope to spend a little more time looking for vintage knives, and more time cleaning house, gardening, napping, walking (with dogs), and reading promiscuously.
Resplendent Barlows, Dean! The script Barlow stamp on the Catt is one of my all-time favorites, and the 2-blade sawcut Camillus is a quintessential Barlow IMHO!
Yet another pic of a desirable Barlow! Very fine, Steve!!
I, for one, am seldom sickened by seeing superlative stag!!
Thanks for the additional info, @strokednbored .I've never though about the security issues that arise with almost everyone carrying their own personal "spy camera" (1960s term
).
Intriguing 2-blade lambsfoot, @Cutfinger !
Thanks for the info, Travman!I sometimes try to find GEC models that folks post by looking at the arrays of photos in the "Collect by Pattern" section at GEC's website, but that source must be incomplete.
Tremendous twosome,JTB_5 !
This thread is filled with Barlows lately!
Mellow yellow!!
Stupendous stag, Stuart; the Mohawk canoe is marvelous!!Admirable alliteration, too!
My weekly photo of the knives I ALWAYS carry:

Now I see the dogleg intetest.Johan Ellis Dama Dogleg - the scales I bought years ago from USA, supposedly Westinghouse Micarta, but they look more like old Ivory Micarta
Johan has used red spacers that bleed from bolster to handle, nice touch

I never would have considered it except for the fact that I won it. A dynamite pattern. And much more substantial than I imagined.- lovely fit in the hand.........and an organic different shape to normal![]()
I’m fond of French cutlery, there is no doubt.beautifull pair of french onesThey´re proving that the french can build traditionals as well as modern ones
View attachment 836863 It’s finally warmed up a bit, but the cloud cover and rain have us inside. Nothing like an Antique Yellow to bring it all together. Fiona agrees.
I don't watch pet videos on YouTube (like my wife does for hours), but I'm a sucker for the knife pics that also feature dogs!
Congrats on that Black Box Winchester 2857, Tom!
Big-league bone on your Camillus, Steve!Carrying my latest Camillus
#17 Heavy Jack knife

Whatever the outcome of the game was, you've got to be a winner with that pair in your pocket, Gary!Headed to my oldest sons to watch SU vs Pitt and eat Chinese food. Of course I have to pick up the food....
This particular rivalry is one of my favorites. I don't really care who wins as I went to SU, my dad went to Pitt. I just enjoy the game.
These are along for the ride today.

It's impressive to see an Uncle Henry that served you for SO long, @Ironbut !!Nice! Here's one I bought in 1970 & carried everyday for about 30 years.

With the uniform patina on that superb spearpoint, and the ravishing checkered bone covers, that knife is absolutely drop-dead gorgeous!!!The 78 has been stealing all the pocket time really enjoy this one!![]()

I hope your magnificent knives can abate your frustration over the multiquotes misfire, Jack!
Thanks, Jack.Thank you very much GT, Imperials would be "exotic" hereI have lots of Richards knives with more than one blade, but as a kid, most of the ones I had were singles, probably because they were the least expensive
I always enjoy seeing your Essentials together, have a great Sunday my friend

Sweet stag on that jack, Jeff!!

... Contented sigh ... What a knife, Rob!
Desirable duo, Stuart!...
The recent barrage of barlows has steeled me for the day ahead. It is a cold, wet, raw day here, such that one must head out two-fisted and determined. I have chosen to carry two knives that were born for utility and hard, if unheralded, work. One is a recently steady EDC (along with daily picks), a Sabre. The other is a Craftsman "Old Crafty", which I believe was produced by Schrade for Sears & Roebuck in the period 1961-1970s. As Merle Travis penned and Tennessee Ernie Ford crooned:
"One fist of iron, the other of steel
If the right one don't a-get you, then the left one will."
