- Stuart
Shhhhhh, you are gonna void my warranty!Watch out! It's a trap(per)!!
Congrats on a handsome knife, FBC!
Looks like you have an impressively-rigorous sharpness-testing regimen in which you stab rusty tailpipes repeatedly before assessing apple-slicing capabilities!
My Euro Knife of the Week is a Spanish folder my daughter bought for me in Toledo, Spain:

My Stag/Horn Knife of the Week happens to also be a Spanish knife, a JJ Martinez stag navaja de campaña:

And my Free Choice Knife of the Week is a big French folder, a Cognet l'ecureuil:

Nice. #54 big jack?
Honorable mention to the classic old oil can!
That is a mighty fine looking knife, lambertiana, Sublime. This little Queen 26 packs a lot of cutting in a small package

I do seem to accumulate shield-less knives.Doesn't everyone just send YOU the shield-less knives?!That looks like a great combination Rachel

Ha, me too. I've got to do a better job of checking the bottom of the old knife bin, maybe that's where they are.LOL. I just had a vision of hundreds of lost shields doomed to wander in search of a knife.
It's a 64 Junior Premium Stockman. If yours is Delrin too, just give that shield time to make a break for it.That’s a 68 Premium Stockman, right? I have the exact same knife- but the shield hasn’t fallen off yet.
Carried it just the other day...
That little stag lockback is indeed supremely lovely, Senhor Pinto!!![]()
One of my favourite carries. Best to all. MJ.![]()
Congrats on that sweet stag lambsfoot, Ted!I'm into the singles today, got the A. Wright & Sons Lambsfoot I won from bonzodog in a GAW a week or so ago. It's a piece of engineering art. Not a proud piece anywhere, the bolster, scales, liners, pins and back spring feel like they were all hand fit.

WToday it's my $7 yard sale special

Terrific trio, @315 !I've started straying from the Victorinox Recruit at work and have been alternating between these two. I keep the SAK close by for nasty chores though.
![]()
But when I come home I keep grabbing the 881. Quite honestly, I could probably be content with a SAK, a 340T and an 881 as the only 3 in the rotation, but where's the fun in that??

The Guardian Lambsfoot is in fine fettle, r8shell!Do you mean somewhere there's a ShieldForums website where shield collectors discuss just shields? I wouldn't be surprised, there's something for everyone on the interwebs.Shield replacement might be a good topic for a thread, though. I've fashioned replacement shields a few times, using thin metal sheet or piano key veneers.

I was looking at that Camillus yesterday, thinking about cutting a new shield for it out of copper.
Today's carry:View attachment 839429 View attachment 839430
Cool and unusual blade combo on your Woodsman, Stuart!Today's Bullet knife carry is a Remington Woodsman (R4353) replicated by Camillus in 1985, as with almost all of the other Bullets I am carrying from this group, the blades are 440C and the scales are Delrin. These knives are solidly built.

I now see that I should have wiped the blades before taking the picture, as well as before I put the knife away. Sorry for the smears.

I am carrying something a bit different today.

Yes . I will be trying to get 2 in the next run even though I only need 1 to fill it .Congrats on that sweet stag lambsfoot, Ted!
WW!! That was $7 well spent!!
Terrific trio, @315 !A Böker Barlow and an amber bone Case canoe are both near the top of my "Knives to Buy in 2018" list, and it looks like a Schrade stockman like yours ought to go onto the list. too!!
(The 881 is probably a bit harder to find than the other two, though.)
The Guardian Lambsfoot is in fine fettle, r8shell!
Cool and unusual blade combo on your Woodsman, Stuart! Is that classified as a moose pattern?
