What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

My lambsfoot is in my RFP as usual. This morning it helped me make breakfast tacos.

I woke up this morning officially retired! :D Yesterday was my last day at work. My wife took me out for a celebratory meal last night. This morning I am Totin two Cases. The 6347 is a knife that I bought soon after I started to work in the summer of ‘73. The Norfolk is one of my latest acquisitions that I got just before my retirement. By the way all those years were with the same company. :) I’m looking forward to showing y’all the Norfolk after 45 years of use! ;)

Congrats Ron. Welcome to the team.

My nemesis is making itself visible again!o_O;)

I am way too paranoid to try eating poison oak! I'm just glad I can see it now, my most recent bad cases have been from bare branches of it in the winter.

I went through 3 or 4 knife changes today and couldn’t decide what I wanted to carry. Seeing your yellow made me settle on mine.

Ordered a smooth orange bone S&M 55 stockman today. Can’t wait to try it out!

Curious to find out your opinion. If it's the one I'm thinking of , 1095 steel with good fit finish 2017?

This Schatt and Morgan Barlow came yesterday and I am totally impressed. Centered and solid stainless blades, .925 sterling silver inlaid shield, brown jigged bone. I want to pick up some more Queen made knives since it's future is in question. Glad I got this one:thumbsup:

That’s the one. I had been considering the larger 1095 ones but I dislike double nail cuts in them so when I saw those, after him hawing a bit, I think I’ll like them. Will do

Fantastic! Congrats on the retirement. Forty-five years with the same company is just not something that you see nowadays.
(That Norfolk is a looker!)

Very nice, Paul! When Queen gets it right, they're among the best factory produced knives available.

Great stuff Ron! You richly deserve a decent retirement, Norfolk is a looker with those all sunk-joints too:cool: I find the pull on mine pretty tough but that's no bad thing in my book.

Thanks, Will

That's pretty cool. One at the start of your journey, and one to mark the end. Two special knives. Congrats on your retirement.

Congratulations Ron! :) Don't forget to Oil The Joints! ;) :D

Congratulations on reaching the retirement milestone! What will you do with the added time?

Half/Stop Half/Stop Congratulations, Ron. Welcome to the rest of your life. I retired in 2011 after 36 years with the same folks, same phone number (different title and different desk). I chose April 1 as my last day and never looked back. Those are very cool knives to bookend your career.

For the last 13 months the mighty Peanut has been in my pocket. I have put it through the ringer and it has been great. It is my main edc now. It has become a part of me.

Congrats on retirement, Ron! For me - the wages might not be the same, but I must be having a good time 'cuz the days go by real fast.:p:D
