What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

@btb01
Thanks Barrett, it was one of those lucky happenstances. I won it in Manuel's raffle. It fits the hand perfectly and it's so solidly built you'd think it was a fixed blade.

Remington Bullet replicas redux. Today is cold, so I will be wearing a coat with big pockets. All the better, as I'll have this Remington R1263 Hunter from 1986 along for the walk. The blades are what I think Remington refers to as a long clip and a long spear in 440 steel. Delrin covers.

"Ordered a smooth orange bone S&M 55 stockman today. Can’t wait to try it "

Curious to find out your opinion. If it's the one I'm thinking of , 1095 steel with good fit finish 2017?

Got it in yesterday. I like it a lot! 3 5/8” as advertised is being generous. But it is a great size. Fit and finish is GEC except one issue (read on). Pull on the main is about a 5. The two secondaries are pretty stout. I’ll put at an 8. If they had longer blades it would be better. The short length really is what does it. Walk and talk is good. The blades don’t touch but the sheepsfoot and Spey are very close. The Spey shape is very useful to me. The grinds and clean and even and quite sharp on edges. The fit of the pins and slabs to bolsters is great.

My only two qualms is the harder pull on the small blades and the fit of the shield. It is not quite just right and filled with epoxy it seems. But I expected that as I could see in their pics. Overall, it’ll see lots of use.

Oh! Wanted to say. This is the first knife I have gotten in awhile that didn’t require an immediate trip through my sharpening process.

@Chui-888, Half/Stop Half/Stop
Paul and Ron, out of sight. Gotta up my game.
Edit: you too Robbie.

My Lloyd LC has become a regular, usually with a supplement. Today it's a Manuel Saldana dogleg.

Alan, if I didn’t know better I would say you’re on the top of your game my friend!! :thumbsup: :D

That is an excellent pair, Ron! Those two go together like bread and butter; like bacon and eggs; like pancakes and syrup! (Sorry, I haven't had breakfast yet! :D)

Still carrying my Ebony #15 Crown Lifter today. It's just about finished with it's unpacking/box opening duties; I'd say by tomorrow it can take a well-deserved rest.

Thanks for the compliment Alan! :) But know I’m hungry again! :eek:

That is a beautiful knife Paul :thumbsup:

Definitely, they go together really well :) :thumbsup:
Thanks Jack! :)

Man I really like that beauty !!
Those covers are gorgeous:thumbsup:

Carrying my recently modified 81 (Texas Jack, Half-Moose, etc.) I'm loving this mod on this knife, it makes it so much more carry-friendly IMO. Much thanks to @Jfowl31 for working so hard and doing an exceptional job!

If you have any before shots, I’d love to see them- what did he do?
