What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Thanks for the BDay greeting my friend.
So were almost the same age,and I see you are from N.C.too?
Where bouts N.C.?

I too Love the Fruitport, been my desktop background for several years now.
First thing I see when I turn my computer on after a cooling down period.

this Kabar has been my carry almost everyday since I got it for $10.oo off
everyones favorite auction site.
it had a wobble in the blade that i tightened up and it makes a great EDC.
I think it is possible someone has re-handled it sometime during it's lifetime.
It has been a good user for a few months...

Wow! what a find for 10$! I'll have to surf the bay more often.

A Case lime-green Texas Jack and my new Buck 110 have displaced my Spyderco Manix 2 from my pockets since I picked up the Buck on Wednesday... And I really am liking the change.

Today an ordinary Opinel #8 with carbon steel blade rested in my pocket...

Kind regards
Andi

Took a vacation day to do a project in the back yard. This Utica stockman was taking care of cutting business for me. The main blade is turning dark, mostly from cutting into tangerine skins.

Absolutely Gorgeous Knife---I am a die hard Case fan though so I'm a sucker for the vintage ones:thumbup:

Thanks Paul. I picked it up at the Gator Knife show this past weekend. It was the first knife show I've been to and man, it was overwhelming to say the least but I think I got a good one with this Case.

One of the new ones? How's it treating you?

Frosty

I like it. Had some flaws: minor gap between the springs, needed to flush some gunk out to clean up the action, and it needed a good sharpening. There is also a tad of rub between the spay and the sheepsfoot blades.

But the blades don't wobble. They take and hold a good edge. The blades all have decent snap to them and are maybe a bit less hard to open than an SAK, which is about how I like them. Aside from the minor gap between the springs, which you really have to look at to see, the fit and finish is good. Nicely done scales and rivets. No gaps with the scales. No sharp edges. Even the bone around the rivets doesn't have a sharp edge.

I wouldn't recommend one to a collector, but it's a good working knife. Since working knives are what interest me most, I'm happy with it.
