Thank you very much for the kind words, GT! I always enjoy reading all of your responses!
REALLY love that canoe of yours as well!

Good Golly, Stuart, that Imperial toothpick goes straight to my heart!!:thumbsup::cool:

Good Heavens, Stuart, I appreciate your daily positive comments! :)

Hot Diggety Dog, Stuart & Ron, it's awesome to hear that you guys could get some actual "face time"!!:thumbsup::thumbsup::cool:

Great Googly Moogly, GT, you have topped the charts with your compliments and comments today. Drop the mic!! Thanks for the smiles you've provided.

Yes indeed it was great to meet and have a nice leisurely lunch with Stuart D Duckdog ! :D

I'm blushing like a schoolboy, Ron, from such kind comments. I'm so glad that we could pull the lunch off, so thanks to you and Pam for sharing your time. I really enjoyed our discussions and, boy, time flew by.

I'm breaking in new deerskin gloves with some old knives today. A W.H. Morley & Sons (Adolph Kastor & Bros.) sleeve board pen from 1913-1927 and a Queen City cattle knife from 1922-1932. Pretty day, so far.

Wow! Great looking pair, Stuart!

I'm heading away for a few days in North Yorkshire tomorrow, so I won't be posting much until early next week. I'll try and keep in touch as best I can of course (I can just about manage to hit the 'Like' button with my phone! :D) I'll be away for five days, so hoping I'm going to have enough knives with me...

If not, I can always pick up one or two new ones! ;) :D

Have fun, Jack! I think you have a great group of cutlery there for the trip.:thumbsup::thumbsup: There's nothing wrong with getting more though! :D:)

Wow, Gary! That Case Canoe is in fantastic condition; it looks like it was just made. I especially like the beauty of the blade etching on that unblemished blade!:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:

Stuart, I am amazed once more today. Those are two fantastic knives; imagine the history they have seen!:thumbsup:

My humble carry today is old Number 10.

RDaneel RDaneel Thanks for your compliment and, yes, I wish that they could tell some stories. BTW, I think Number 10 has seen some things it its proud life. (note: Someone, a salesman, I think, scrawled 3099 in black ink on the pile side of the main blade on the Queen City - a stock number, I guess.)

Glad to see I’m not the only one making a new 43 earn their keep.

That's a great looking 72, pearl2291 pearl2291 !

I'm hoping the rain is gone by the end of lunch. I doubt it will be, though. Went all stainless today with the Vic Rancher, Vic Executive, and Case Peanut.

I feel ya. Still raining here and I should see the end before you. I hope it ends before I have to walk to my unit.

Gee Whillikers, FBC, that flat black Churchill is a real looker!:cool::thumbsup:

Goodness Gracious Sakes Alive, FBC, you had me seeing double there for a minute! :D Love the simple beauty of that knife!:thumbsup::cool:
Well, jumpin' Jehoshaphat, your comments had me laughing!
I must say there is something about ebony handled knife that I just enjoy.

This has been neglected ever since I got it. Insane  Now I've polished the bolsters-didn't like them matte at all-it's taken on new appeal, slim, long Wharcliffe and very tight construction:cool: Just wish I knew how to polish the scales but all that green or colour compounds seem to soak into this matte Ivory micarta, foul:eek:

This is the only knife I have used so far today, but the day is young!:D
