Exceptional Red Bone! Is that a 087 Jack?
Man I just love your photos. Every time you post those camp knives I hear alternately the themes from either Indiana Jones or Unforgiven.I've been rekindling this old romance for a few days now. WW2 Camillus engineers knife. The homemade leather pouch and 1/16" minicord fob are just icing on the cake.

Smashing to the max....wow!!!!!Giving my latest boot sale find a bit of pocket time today. It's had a bit of a life this one but is still fully functional with a good blade and great character. I like the horn scales, the unusual bolster and the barrel trademark. Its an old Sheffield knife by John Petty & Sons....If only these things could talk.

Fabulous 77 Barlows, Harry!
"Stockboy" - I like the nameKabar jack and wood scaled Craftsman (Ulster?) stockboy. That’s a medium stockman. Although stockboy fits since I used it stocking shelves in hardware stores many moons ago.

Enjoy your trip, Jack!...
I'm heading away for a few days in North Yorkshire tomorrow, so I won't be posting much until early next week. I'll try and keep in touch as best I can of course (I can just about manage to hit the 'Like' button with my phone!)
I'll be away for five days, so hoping I'm going to have enough knives with me...

Salubrious stag selections, r8shell!
So, contrary to popular opinion, I'm NOT (necessarily) crazy! Thanks for the green Remington confirmation, Jer.I have three others that are all green, now you mention it.
Thanks, Ron.Goodness gracious Gary! Thanks for the compliments and comments!
...
Gary, I love your Case Canoe! Those models with the single springs are so slim and make a great Totin knife!
It may be no surprise, but today I will be Totin my Black Alox Pioneer!

Will, I hope you can get it adjusted to your specifications soon so you can fully enjoy it!This has been neglected ever since I got it. InsaneNow I've polished the bolsters-didn't like them matte at all-it's taken on new appeal, slim, long Wharcliffe and very tight construction
Just wish I knew how to polish the scales but all that green or colour compounds seem to soak into this matte Ivory micarta, foul

Thanks, mitch.Thank you very much for the kind words, GT! I always enjoy reading all of your responses!
REALLY love that canoe of yours as well!
A knife must have its joints used but unoiled for quite a while to erase the tang stamp!Yes it's gone, I think it may be a Queen #10
Thanks, Stuart, to you and every one else for the pics you all post that I look forward to seeing each day!Great Googly Moogly, GT, you have topped the charts with your compliments and comments today. Drop the mic!! Thanks for the smiles you've provided....

Two splendid knives, Stuart!I'm breaking in new deerskin gloves with some old knives today. A W.H. Morley & Sons (Adolph Kastor & Bros.) sleeve board pen from 1913-1927 and a Queen City cattle knife from 1922-1932. Pretty day, so far.

Sweet Vic Rancher, Shawn!...
I'm hoping the rain is gone by the end of lunch. I doubt it will be, though. Went all stainless today with the Vic Rancher, Vic Executive, and Case Peanut.

Great to see another of your handsome vintage Barlows, Dean!
Well, jumpin' Jehoshaphat, your comments had me laughing!
I must say there is something about ebony handled knife that I just enjoy.
...
This is the only knife I have used so far today, but the day is young!

I never noticed until your fine foto how the edge is set up on those Christy knives, FBC; even I could "find the angle" on that blade!Took Hugo with me when I finally decided to face the world.

That Tip Top Barlow really is!
That sounds like a wonderful trip!!Ackk!! It looked like a Laguoile. Sorry about that! Our current plan is to visit France, Spain and Italy again for the x teenth time next year. I'll be looking for some locally made knives!! Thanks.
“Goodness Gracious, Sakes Alive!”
A favorite of Coach John Wooden, and about as close to cussin’ as he ever got!
Congrats, Frank! You guys are going to hate me, but I'm still carrying the Mora Eldris.
