Thanks Paul, it brings out the highlights on the bone yes. It's interesting stuff but also appears to be discontinued, I'd really like to get their Whittler in it. It has strange ridges or 'plates' on it enhancing look but also comfort oddly enough. They also did a green/grey version, I gave a Whittler of that to Andi (Humppa) and he seemed delighted with it. He told me you couldn't buy Böker carbon Traditionals in Germany! Bizarre...

Regards, Will

That looks like the same jigging on the Boker Tree brand barlow I have. It is really unique and I also find it comfortable.

Thanks, Jack. There is just something so cool about those stovepipe kicks.

It must be the angle, Gary. That's just ye ol Winchester Stockman.
The brass liners and jigged red bone on that Boker is a really nice combo.

Back to the Churchill.

Heading to the Oregon Knife Show shortly. Weighed down by more than a few knives ...

Taking the TC since I will be meeting the man himself and it would be remiss of me to not take on the role of Lambsfoot ambassador so this special one will be going with me as well.

I hope everyone had a terrific weekend.

Wondrous blossom and knife ! Mine are on the verge :D I think I'll carry a pruner on this fine cold morning ( The Boots went out and turned right around...lol )
Ha! Echo has gone out and in and out again, each time scolding me about the weather. She thinks I'm responsible for the cold drizzle! I will not complain, as in a month or so the heat will settle in to stay.
A pruner sounds just right. Have a great weekend. :)

Gevonovich Gevonovich Thanks for comments and for showing some great stag yesterday and today. Jack Black Jack Black and @sitflyer thanks for the kind compliments. @Will Power Stunning Queen City stag and bonny Boker bone, Will. SteveC SteveC Impressive Imperial and captivating Camillus, Steve. RDaneel RDaneel Thanks, and that's a gorgeous Case stockman. @Copperberry What a loving gift that beautiful damascus Case is, thanks for sharing. @Leslie Tomville I'm sure that GT, the commodore of canoes, has capsized over the classic Case craft that you floated into this thread. joeradza joeradza Staggering stag on that case, Alan. Ans r8shell r8shell , you do have a collection of characters with you (the KA-BAR took my breath for a moment). It looks like the set of farm/work knives that you picked up is working out well - handsome knives.

I switched out the Shapleigh toothpick (on right) of yesterday for an E.C. Simmons Keen Kutter toothpick today (for dental hygiene reasons only). I picked out the large Kissing Crane (Robt. Klaas, 1980) gunstock stockman to carry for Stagurday. E.C. Simmons was purchased by Shapleigh in 1940 and continued to use Simmons' trademarks for a secondary line of knives. I think that this one was made prior to the sale, but cannot confirm that (so far). The picture does not show it well, but the Simmons has a sabre-ground blade.
