A White Owl rules the roost today

That Owl is a knife for a wise man, Will. ;) A red White Owl with spear main is a grail for me.

Oh, my!! THAT'S a jack knife worthy of the name, Travman Travman ! :thumbsup::thumbsup::cool:

Today I’m Totin a 68 Pony Jack and a Bigun, Rosewood Lambsfoot! :D

Striking wood on your large lambsfoot, Ron, and the Pony Jack is pure classic! :cool::cool::thumbsup:

I haven't carried these old friends in a while.

By George, I think she's got it!! ;):cool::thumbsup::thumbsup:

Holy Toledo, Joshua!! :eek::thumbsup::thumbsup:;)

Supremely satisfying selection, Jack! :cool::thumbsup::thumbsup: Your ebony lambsfoot seems to be earning more pocket time of late, with good reason. I love my "fancier" lambsfoot knives, but a wood handle just seems so right! :thumbsup::thumbsup:

Speaking of wondrous wood lambsfoots ... Bam Ba Lamb!! :cool::thumbsup::thumbsup:;)

One year ago today, this little ball of trouble maker was born. I have a knife for him, with a story that I won’t bore you with again. But here he was and here he is. Thanks @Jsega51

Happy Birthday to a handsome young lad, SVT! :cool::thumbsup: Looks like you're growing a new knife nut! ;) Is he helping you with your cars yet?? :rolleyes:

The shape, the shield, the stag: The Works!! :cool::thumbsup::thumbsup::cool: Gorgeous, Alan.

I'm heading south (Mallorca) for a week with lovely mrs. Finn. My daily carry during this time will consist of a Swiss army knife and Otter brass lockback (since both are stainless I don't have to baby them too much). See you!
Have a wonderful trip, @HFinn! :thumbsup::cool::thumbsup: My daughter took me to Denia on the Spanish coast, but we didn't take a ferry from there to the Balearic Islands - too bad. :(

Laugh all you want, the Mikov fish knife is at least a century old and rich in history in the Czech Republic ...

I'm not laughing, KM, I'm longing!! :rolleyes::thumbsup::thumbsup::cool:

... I got so jacked over the jacks posted that I collected a couple of capable Ka-Bar codgers as carry-jacks today: a medium (3 5/8") jack in jigged green (?) bone and a large (4 1/8") jack in jigged brown bone, both from the 1923-1950 period.

Boy oh boy, what a beautiful bonanza of breathtaking, brow-mopping, bewitching bone, Stuart!!! :eek::thumbsup::cool::cool::thumbsup: I'd be hard-pressed to choose a favorite there, although I'm currently quite fond of toothpicks.

What a vast variety of vibrant vintage knives you share with us, Steve! :cool::cool::thumbsup::thumbsup:

My daughter has been curious about my knife photography so she wanted me to take a picture of one of her knives (given to her by her grandfather) and she wanted it to have flowers in it (of course). She is also expecting me to give her a report on whether or not anyone had anything to say about her knife at the end of the day.... So go nuts, but please be gentle, she is only 9. :D

Admire your black/red pairing, Dylan. :cool::thumbsup::thumbsup:
Your daughter's knife is glorious, in its own right and because of its source. :cool::thumbsup::cool: The red sparkles are incredible, and that knife could be a major award! ;):thumbsup::thumbsup: 2-blade knives are the BEST, IMHO. :thumbsup::thumbsup: (And the knife could be a conversation starter on topics such as foolish fashions and objectification of the sexes, Dad! :D)

I carried my Ulster Boy Scout knife today. Born 1923-1926, it has aged well.

...
Thanks, Gary! Your Farmer is excellent (I appreciate the olive green one you gave me :))
...
I carried this Buck Cadet today. I've had it for 18 years and at one time it was my EDC.

Thanks for the comments, Dean. :) You've posted a couple of captivating classics, especially with the memories you probably have with the former EDC Cadet! :cool::thumbsup::thumbsup:

I'm carrying my late grandfather's Case Trapper today. It's not that old from what I can tell (made in 2007 or so), but he used the heck out of it until he passed a couple years ago. I recently started carrying it daily. I've never been a traditional knife kind of guy, but as far as a cutting tool goes, it does the job just as well as a "tacticool" modern knife. This knife has changed my perception of what kind of knife I need for daily tasks. My grandpa used to say something to the effect of, "You don't need a lock on your knife, you've just gotta be smarter than the blade." I love having this little guy in my pocket.

Desirable knife, and thanks for sharing the story!! Having an heirloom like that is so special! :cool::cool::thumbsup:

Giving old Toffee-wings a rest today. Funny the things you can put away and forget. Like the AG Russell and the AW Wadsworth.

First-rate fivesome, Jer!! :cool::thumbsup::thumbsup: Looks like you have a fascinating conference coming up! :cool::thumbsup:

Carried these 2 today .

Notable sawcut pair, Harry! :thumbsup::cool::cool::thumbsup:

Your lambsfoot looks superb, Duane! :cool::thumbsup::p

Your Unity is unrivaled, Jack, and the Haywood looks so simple but has so many unique details IMHO (the tang stamp logo and the kick shape, to name two). :thumbsup::cool::cool:

Thanks for the compliment Gary! :) Thanks also for the hands on comparison. I personally think the Bone is definitely very nice on most of the RR offerings. :D

For Friday I’m Totin a Stag 35 Churchill and my Midnight Special Lambsfoot. :D

Thanks for the comments, Ron. :) Fabulous Friday pair for you! :thumbsup::cool::thumbsup:

Ron carries a heavy responsibility for many things on this Forum...:D:D

Whatever your knife, if it's Stag, you're half way to Knirvarna:cool:

Hey! I resemble that remark! :D Thank you, GT. You have some fine knives about you today!

Carrying Churchill today as well, along with a solid jack. ...

Thanks, Dylan. :) Yet another sublime red/black pair from you! :cool::thumbsup::thumbsup: Makes me wonder what your roulette strategy is. ;):D

Nice knives and words today, folks!
Me and Lloyd ridin' around.:D

Great travel companion, Gary! :thumbsup::thumbsup::cool: And, as others have noted, fantastic song. (Although I'm not sure that it's even in the top three for me on that "Every Picture Tells a Story" album! Gotta see if I can play some of my old LPs...)

Those over-sized bolsters are all very well for Tom and Huck, who use their Barlows for digging instead of cutting, but for me it's unnecessary weight and bulk, so I don't carry them. Except for this one, because it's pretty. Deep down I'm shallow.
And the Wadsworth. Too bright out to focus, apparently.
I'll add old Toffee-wings and another one or two when my fleece vest gets out of the drier.

Thanks for the kind words on my ebony Lambsfoot, Unity, and Haywood my friend :) All three are always a treat to carry. The ebony Lambsfoot is a great user, and I like not having to baby it at all - I just wish it had the A.Wright & Son tang stamp! :rolleyes: Always a treat to see your Eternals :) :thumbsup:

I'll just another pic of my 2017 Guardians Lambsfoot for @NJBillK ;) :thumbsup:

That particular affliction is something I've noticed myself. I find it helpful when explaining to my wife why something on my "honey do list" hasn't been done yet.

Same ol same ol for me.
Have a great Sunday folks!

Very nice Ron, I am always struck by how close those two are in size :thumbsup:

That's some killer stag Leslie :thumbsup:

Those 43s look impressive :thumbsup: Hope everyone is well soon Joshua :thumbsup:

I'm a big fan of the 43, and I love wood grain (this is my first cocobolo, and I'm impressed with it). Thanks for the sentiments. I think we're on the mend, but we don't like sharing illness with our fellow parishioners (though we like sharing in general!)
