The shape, the shield, the stag: The Works!!
Have a wonderful trip, @HFinn!I'm heading south (Mallorca) for a week with lovely mrs. Finn. My daily carry during this time will consist of a Swiss army knife and Otter brass lockback (since both are stainless I don't have to baby them too much). See you!
I'm not laughing, KM, I'm longing!!Laugh all you want, the Mikov fish knife is at least a century old and rich in history in the Czech Republic ...

... I got so jacked over the jacks posted that I collected a couple of capable Ka-Bar codgers as carry-jacks today: a medium (3 5/8") jack in jigged green (?) bone and a large (4 1/8") jack in jigged brown bone, both from the 1923-1950 period.

Boy oh boy, what a beautiful bonanza of breathtaking, brow-mopping, bewitching bone, Stuart!!!...An Ulster Knife Co. 4 blade senator (1876-1941) with cute tip bolsters and a Shapleigh Hardware Co. Diamond Edge toothpick (1943-1961).

What a vast variety of vibrant vintage knives you share with us, Steve!
Admire your black/red pairing, Dylan....
My daughter has been curious about my knife photography so she wanted me to take a picture of one of her knives (given to her by her grandfather) and she wanted it to have flowers in it (of course). She is also expecting me to give her a report on whether or not anyone had anything to say about her knife at the end of the day.... So go nuts, but please be gentle, she is only 9.

Thanks for the comments, Dean.
Desirable knife, and thanks for sharing the story!! Having an heirloom like that is so special!I'm carrying my late grandfather's Case Trapper today. It's not that old from what I can tell (made in 2007 or so), but he used the heck out of it until he passed a couple years ago. I recently started carrying it daily. I've never been a traditional knife kind of guy, but as far as a cutting tool goes, it does the job just as well as a "tacticool" modern knife. This knife has changed my perception of what kind of knife I need for daily tasks. My grandpa used to say something to the effect of, "You don't need a lock on your knife, you've just gotta be smarter than the blade." I love having this little guy in my pocket.

First-rate fivesome, Jer!!Giving old Toffee-wings a rest today. Funny the things you can put away and forget. Like the AG Russell and the AW Wadsworth.

Notable sawcut pair, Harry!
Your lambsfoot looks superb, Duane!
Your Unity is unrivaled, Jack, and the Haywood looks so simple but has so many unique details IMHO (the tang stamp logo and the kick shape, to name two).
Thanks for the comments, Ron....
Thanks for the compliment Gary! Thanks also for the hands on comparison. I personally think the Bone is definitely very nice on most of the RR offerings.
For Friday I’m Totin a Stag 35 Churchill and my Midnight Special Lambsfoot.

What a regal Queen, Will!Ron carries a heavy responsibility for many things on this Forum...
Whatever your knife, if it's Stag, you're half way to Knirvarna

Thanks, Dylan....
Hey! I resemble that remark!Thank you, GT. You have some fine knives about you today!

Me and Lloyd ridin' around.

Yup. A little less fascinating than usual perhaps; it's light on Welsh and Old English this year.First-rate fivesome, Jer!!Looks like you have a fascinating conference coming up!

Supremely satisfying selection, Jack!Your ebony lambsfoot seems to be earning more pocket time of late, with good reason. I love my "fancier" lambsfoot knives, but a wood handle just seems so right!
Speaking of wondrous wood lambsfoots ... Bam Ba Lamb!!
Happy Birthday to a handsome young lad, SVT!Looks like you're growing a new knife nut!
Is he helping you with your cars yet??
The shape, the shield, the stag: The Works!!Gorgeous, Alan.
Have a wonderful trip, @HFinn!My daughter took me to Denia on the Spanish coast, but we didn't take a ferry from there to the Balearic Islands - too bad.
I'm not laughing, KM, I'm longing!!
Boy oh boy, what a beautiful bonanza of breathtaking, brow-mopping, bewitching bone, Stuart!!!I'd be hard-pressed to choose a favorite there, although I'm currently quite fond of toothpicks.
What a vast variety of vibrant vintage knives you share with us, Steve!
Admire your black/red pairing, Dylan.
Your daughter's knife is glorious, in its own right and because of its source. The red sparkles are incredible, and that knife could be a major award!
2-blade knives are the BEST, IMHO.
(And the knife could be a conversation starter on topics such as foolish fashions and objectification of the sexes, Dad!
)
Thanks for the comments, Dean. You've posted a couple of captivating classics, especially with the memories you probably have with the former EDC Cadet!

Half/Stop !
Thanks, Dylan.Yet another sublime red/black pair from you!
Makes me wonder what your roulette strategy is.
Great travel companion, Gary! And, as others have noted, fantastic song. (Although I'm not sure that it's even in the top three for me on that "Every Picture Tells a Story" album! Gotta see if I can play some of my old LPs...)

Yes, they are sturdy, like the Buck 110, but a bit more elegant. A fine knife.View attachment 883591 This one today, bit of a marmite moment as it’s heavier than I’m used to.I guess time will tell.

Very nice Ron, I am always struck by how close those two are in size
That's some killer stag Leslie
Those 43s look impressiveHope everyone is well soon Joshua

I'm a big fan of the 43, and I love wood grain (this is my first cocobolo, and I'm impressed with it). Thanks for the sentiments. I think we're on the mend, but we don't like sharing illness with our fellow parishioners (though we like sharing in general!)
That’s a good looking Ranger! I like the character in the handles.
