What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Today with Gec 15 stainless steel...

Two for me on Friday. The GEC #43 is an ongoing obsession, that probably won't end any time soon. As the patina grows and the canvas darkens, the knife just gets better and better.

The recent Case discussion has brought my Case collection to the forefront, so I'm pocketing my yellow Delrin punch stockman today. It's an absurdly useful little knife, and usually lives on my work bench in the garage. I think I'll endeavor to carry a different Case every day for the next week or so, just to reacquaint myself with this fine brand.

I agree, that punch stockman is wonderfully useful. ( I punch things more than I spey them. :D ) I have one in amber bone, and picked up a second in yellow.

Thanks, GT! Great song! One of these days I'll get me one of those blonde Spaniards. I just love your Spanish knife collection!

I think that every knife needs that one little tool that allows you can poke, prod, scrape, gouge, dig and generally abuse the world at large, without the worry of ruining a perfectly sharpened blade. Case's punch design allows for all of those wonderful things, without worry of damage. In fact. Case makes some of the stronger punch designs out there. You don't really ever see one of these knives on auction with a busted off punch, like so many others found on traditional scout patterns.

The male livestock of the world rejoice at your comment, and will sleep just a little easier tonight.

Stuart my friend!!! Just how big is that magic hat you keep pulling all of these beauties out of? :D

Wasn't i wearing my 10 gallon hat at lunch? Nice pair that you are totin'.

It could be a popular new blade: the "snub-nosed sheep-spear"

I'm still laughing. Thanks!

Capital couple of choices, Stuart, with covetable bone and chic shields!!:thumbsup::thumbsup: The round-bolstered cattle knife is the one that most charms me in that pair, but could the "T" on the Kutmaster tang actually be part of "GT", meaning it's a long-lost knife of mine that I never knew I had?? :p:D

I'm still looking for the lost "G". Will let you know if I find it. That "T" is odd, isn't it.

Both are b-b-b-bad to the bone, in the best sense, Stuart!!:thumbsup::cool:

Thanks, GT, for you nice comments to all of us. The allure of your alliteration always allows a lot to be appreciated.

D Duckdog Those Robesons aged well.

Thanks, Alan. Yes, better than I have.

That is my credo, 'Buzz, and it seems to be working out (though I don't always post them).

I punch things more than I spey them. :D

Thank goodness for small favors, I think. Whatever relieves the stress best, r8shell.

@SteveC Very nice Utica barlow.

- Stuart

Commendable couple of workers, Jeff!:thumbsup::cool: Is that a Ford tractor they're on?
- GT

Yes it is:thumbsup: A good old 3600. We use it for spraying.

I help an older retired couple maintain their tree farm. No longer in the business of selling trees, but the trees and the property still need care. So I do all of the tree pruning and mowing/brush hogging, as well as anything else that needs doing. Right now is the time for greasing the tractors and getting them ready.
