Beautiful Orchard Gem, Paul. I have the same Amber, but mine is not nearly that "purdy."

[QUOTE="5K Qs, post: 18003188, member: 385663"Great photo of a classic knife, Dean!:cool::thumbsup:

Thanks for the complimentary comments on my cutlery, Dean. :) I'm always thrilled to see your cultivated Presidential, a consummate pocket knife!!:thumbsup::thumbsup::cool: Does the ebony on that knife meet your high standards?

- GT[/QUOTE]

Thank you for the compliments on my knives, Gary! To answer your question on my Presidential, unfortunately it does not meet my high standards. I really wanted a blackest black one (and in fact requested it be so), but it is not. :( It is very dark brown in sunlight and appears black in other conditions. My Huckleberry boy's knife in ebony is truly black, though. :)

I have my I*XL Barlow in pocket today; picture is from awhile back.

Old Engineer Old Engineer , a couple other folks have mentioned inclement weather so I thought I'd post a picture I took while totin' some hawkbill pruners for another thread. Weather's changed for the better here, but who knows how long it will last. I intend to cut the taller grass in my yard tomorrow.

We like the Daffodils a lot . We have lots of them usually by the end of Tax Season , but not yet this year . They are up , but not one bloom yet .
Thanks for the nice picture .

Had to open up the wiring harness on the 33 ford going to the trans and find the oxygen sensor wires. Needed to get them pigtailed out of the harness in a different place. These two guys helped me slice it open and then get it patched back up and sealed up after. They made the job easier than I though it would be.

Last night, I was online looking at an auction for beautiful old cattle knife. Mint bone scales. It wasn’t until the 4th or 5th photo that I saw why it had a starting bid of $4.95, and no bids.
One blade was broken off.
Seeing your edc pry bar makes me wonder how many old knives would have been preserved if those things were more commonly carried.

Cute and clever story, Ace, with a colorful photo!:thumbsup::thumbsup: That harvest orange peanut could be a centerfold!:thumbsup:;)

Thanks! I really like the harvest orange. I recently sent Case a note suggesting that they improve their pictures of that color on both their website and pdf catalog, as it just looks like brown mud on those. Their pictures certainly don't reveal any of the yellow highlights or the reddish orange color.

I've decided that if I were to pick a name for the color it would be autumn sassafras leaf or something similar. ;)

I think that every knife needs that one little tool that allows you can poke, prod, scrape, gouge, dig and generally abuse the world at large, without the worry of ruining a perfectly sharpened blade. Case's punch design allows for all of those wonderful things, without worry of damage. In fact. Case makes some of the stronger punch designs out there. You don't really ever see one of these knives on auction with a busted off punch, like so many others found on traditional scout patterns.

TL29s for everybody!:D

I got a little ebony envy after seeing all the postings, including @Planterz 's today. I put this Keen Kutter large (3 5/8") jack in my pocket for the day.

Wow that keen Kutter is a beautiful knife! I’ll be the first to admit that I’m a newbie at collecting but I think this is the first bare head ebony knife I’ve seen and I loooove it!

Cheers to Friday!

As always, a man after my own heart. That 43 keeps looking better and better and that nite glow caplifter must have been built for Fridays!

Forgive the not so great picture, but here’s my birthday carry:

Cinco covetable knives, Jer!:thumbsup::cool: Congrats on the Vic Electrician. My first Alox Vic was a silver Electrician (thanks, gregc) and Alox has had incredible allure for me ever since.
I felt a little foolish ordering mine, since the only difference from my three BSAs is the sheepfoot for the can-opener. But it's a big difference, and I love the look and feel of the alox.

Like the Ancient TC, I consider his Rope Knife to be one of Charlie's absolute finest. It's been too long since I carried it :)

I completely agree with you about Charlie's Rope Knife, Jack, and I, too, am guilty of not carrying mine often enough.

Here's what I encounter when I come in the door, this face is almost impossible to say no to, whether it be a walk or treat:D

Beautiful Orchard Gem, Paul. I was scrolling through this thread with my laptop on the coffee table, and Eleanor was standing next to me; when I got to the picture of your dogs, she said, "Maggie? Maggie?" (Maggie is our dog.) :D

I'm carrying these two today.
