What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Going to carry my GEC Churchill this week. Is this the perfect pocketknife? If not, it’s darn close. I can picture my grandfather having this knife and not seeing the need to ever have another, until the blade was sharpened down to a sliver. (We are so spoiled nowadays and we don’t even realize it! :))

Tell me about it! I love my Barlows & stockmans, but this workhorse went back into my pocket tonight.

These are my sentiments on the Chruchill as well. This knife has been by far my most carried knife since it arrived. I find it to be a really well rounded knife, slim but with a beafy back spring and two really useful blades. I find myself using each of the blades about equally, which is something that I cannot claim on most of my multi bladed knives. I usually use the main blade more than the secondary.

Beautiful! If I recall, the dark Ram’s Horn on your Roundhead was just as nice and deeply figured.
Thanks, good memory, the roundhead also came in with some nicely figured horn.

Cell phone pic, can't hold larger camera at the moment. No worries, stitches put in by a doc and come out tomorrow, carpal tunnel. Does make for a cool pic knowing how sharp my TC is stropped.

Basil is a great name for that beautiful knife Gary! ;) Great-looking pizza too

Warm and Windy today, and I mean WINDY!!! that said, I carried this beautiful 2013 single clip TC clad in yellow bone as a reward for thatching/mowing the yard and staining the front deck:thumbsup: Tomorrow I'll stain the rear deck if the wind dies down.

This Winchester Swell-Centre Pen.

Not looking forward to this week, lot of stressful meetings in the pipeline, most meetings are waste of time in my view-just opp for loudmouths to revel in the sound of their own voice and imagined importance:rolleyes::D At least tomorrow is a public-holiday here:cool: Mayday!

My wife had that procedure done a few years ago. It worked out well for her. I hope yours does too, John.

Of course, you do deliver, right?
Alan, Sorry, no deliveries but you can stop by for a slice anytime. :D

Jack, My wife was rolling her eyes when I took that picture. If I start naming my knives she'll think I've gone round the bend!
I have to admit that would be a good name.

This thread moves at such a breakneck pace, I’m almost afraid to dip into it, worrying if I make a post, I may unintentionally miss out on replying to someones comment!:D The new forum software makes it easier to keep track, though, and looking over the last few pages, I see I’ve really been missing out! What a cascade of stellar photography and cutlery!
One of my favourite Lambsfoot knives, the bolster was the basis for the 2017 Guardians Lambsfoot. It bears the 'Unity' mark, which was used by several related co-operative ventures in Sheffield, originally being the mark of the Sheffield Cutlery Co-operative Productive Society, which was formed by three trade union branches in 1866. The covers are indeed jigged bone. Few more pics

Thank you Steve :) Cambertree Cambertree has its twin

Jack, you know I’m always drawn to pics of your Unity Lambsfoot, like a fly to honey!:thumbsup: Thanks for the biographical info, too. Funnily enough, I had it’s twin out yesterday, as a quick sharpening session turned into a bit of extended edge honing and maintenance oiling, for quite a few Old Friends.

I’m sure I don’t need any excuses to share a couple of pics of My Precious, though!;):)

"Look for the Union Lay-ayble". (Should be bracketed in musical notes.)
You reminded me of a commercial I haven't seen in decades.

Nice one, Jer. I like that Puñal too.:cool: I know next to nothing about them, but it looks like a very nice score. Seeing it made me think, if it were to turn up in the pages of the Books and Blades thread, it couldn’t fail to be paired up with the gaucho influenced works of Argentinean writer Jorge Luis Borges, freighted as they often are, with portentous blades: Streetcorner Man, The Meeting, Rosendo’s Tale, and of course, his poem: The Dagger.
