It took me a while to learn how to close the Kudu safely. One problem was that the thumb I used to get leverage to pull the ring up to release the lock was simultaneously pressing down on the piece the ring was intended to lift.
That's a ravishing knife, Steve!!!

@Old Hunter posted a Case 6347 that set me to searching. I'll take a break from red bone for this day: a Case 62053 cattle knife (1920-1940) and a Case 6347HP stockman (1978). Pictures were taken hastily indoor and it shows, unfortunately.
