What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

That Pearl is sweeet!!! :thumbsup:

Agreed, what Half/Stop said!

Much appreciated Gents !!!! Thank you

We didn't have a scale onboard and cleaned the fish before landing, so I didn't weigh them, but I'd say 25-30 lbs, Alan.

@5K Qs That's a quintessential quartet, GT.
@Half/Stop and @SteveC You boys are bringing out some heavy stuff. Thanks for sharing.
Gevonovich Gevonovich Your posting spooked me, as I found an old MOP clad knife in the bottom of an "empty" box this morning after I saw your post. I had to take a quick pic between intermittent showers, no time to dust off the rust before getting ready for Mother's Day brunch. Wow...what a sweet sweet find :eek::eek: A Holley in pearl :eek: in such nice condition !. I think this qualifies as a Celestine moment. See the beauty and look for the coincidence ( one of the insights ) :)

Took this shot and my 7 year-old asked me to take a picture of his knife. I turn around and he’s tearing off into the house and leaving a bloody pocket knife behind. A couple of hours and five stitches later:

It was a deep cut but not to the tendons, thank God. I had just passed his knife across my honing rod a few minutes earlier. Good thing because it was a very clean cut and bled very little, surprisingly.

Yeeouch! At least “chics dig scars”.... except for mamma. Mammas don’t like scars.

Yeah it was a weird spot. I guess he was holding the knife in his left hand (his dominant hand) in a reverse hammer grip and just let the blade down. It was a Boker tech tool single blade so not the strongest spring. If it had been a bullnose, we might be in the ER right now!

If there's a bright side to this, he'll have a cool scar that the girls will like, and he will now know to be aware always where his edge is. We've all been there. Welcome to the brotherhood.

Sorry he (and you) had to go through that, but we have ALL done it. It happens. Hopefully didn't scar Mom too much.:)
I never learned a lesson unless it was the "hard way".:thumbsup:

Photogenic pair, Dean! :cool::cool::thumbsup: That green maple teardrop looks reptilian to me - superb!

This is the Quotidian Quartet for me:

That is a beautiful knife, Gev. :thumbsup::thumbsup: You know a knife is good when wildlife overcome their natural fear to take a look!

That is quite a cut for a boy. You didn't mention if you had heart palpations when you saw it.
