What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

I think I'll throw a yellow peanut into the mix for the day.

I don't often carry my Grandad's Schrade due to its sentimental value. I almost lost it to the TSA once, and don't want to take the chance of losing it again.

However, since I had it out to snap a few shots for Duncan's gracious giveaway, I decided to keep it in my pocket for the day.

S&M Heritage in Ebony, single Clip.

Got it sharpened, the Ebony polished and the sharp tang smoothed down. It goes so well in the pocket.

I can't leave the house without this one in my pocket and a small block of cedar in the ever since I bought it a couple weeks ago.

I am not sure what brand this knife is but it's amazing!

Its a modified Kneissler Farmer model (german handmade, stag scales brass bolster, carbon steel blade) - they come pretty rough and ready, sharp edges to the stag, pertruding pins etc so I gave it the once over- also reshaped the blade so it fell within our (UK) <3" edc laws

its a cheap <$20 knife that with a little work turns into a beast of a work horse - the snap is very solid and the blade is razor sharp with a little work (I've convexed it) loads of the britishblades regular have reworked these with scales file work etc. I just made mine nice to use :D

This beauty arrived yesterday.
The weather is nice, first flowers are here, doing some work in the yard. I'd say I'm happy :D

The idea was to have something about the same size as a peanut, but with a bit more handle, blade, and less weight and thickness. I can tell the swept part of the frame is not going to be ideal for peeling fruit with a pull cut, but I think it will be just as good for about everything else. Maybe better for some things. It seems to weigh quite a lot less than a peanut, and it is even less obtrusive in the pocket, if you can imagine that!

Seems like a great buy for $30.
