What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Glad you're pleased with it Paul :) I'm carrying mine again too, along with the Alox Electrician I carried earlier in the week

In mathematical symbolism, I'd call that pair MF^2, Jack: Mega-Fashionable & Multi-Functional!! :cool::thumbsup::cool:

Today is Throwback Thursday Totin' for me. I pulled these codgers out of their cozy cubbies and popped 'em in my pockets. A Case 6202 1/2 from 1920-1940 and a Case 6235 from 1940-1964.

Comely couple of classic, classy Cases, Stuart!!:thumbsup::thumbsup::cool:

Dylan, with your crimson knife and evergreen boughs - it's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Today’s carry.
Music to my ears, and eyes!! Terrific "twins", Ken!:thumbsup::thumbsup::cool:

Is that a Grinling Whittler, Greg? Have you had that for awhile? If so, have you told us how you like it?? (My faulty memory leaves me with many questions. :()

Those ebony Presidentials are prestigious, Mike!:thumbsup::cool:

Thanks! The Barlow is such a great knife, and I'm getting lazy just grabbing it or the Churchill in the morning. My other knives are getting jealous!
Sounds like it's time to fire up a spreadsheet and create a rotation schedule, r8shell! Try it! It's FUN!! :D:thumbsup::thumbsup::D

This morning on the trail:

This afternoon:

Impressive all-day triple play, Dean!!:thumbsup::cool: The coloring on that TC's covers and the tiny script bolster stamp on your Catt Barlow always delight me! ;)

That's "Big Boy" math. Hopefully we are sending you qualified students.
I've taught Algebra 1, Algebra 2, and "informal" geometry to quite a few middle school students, and I've been in lots of high school and middle school math classrooms over the past 35 years observing student teachers. Whatever the content, the challenges of teaching seem quite similar at every level.

Sensational sowbelly, Gev!!!:thumbsup::cool: The sowbelly stockman pattern impressed me greatly the first time I ever carried one, and I'm still reluctant to stop carrying a sowbelly when it is scheduled to give a different knife its turn in my pockets.

Another day at work with the good ol' Boker from @sitflyer

Always admire your commitment to your Böker Barlow, @jmarston !!:cool::thumbsup:

Thanks for the nice comment, GT.
That top one is/was a Camillus TL27.
I removed the screwdriver blade and liner lock, and rehafted it in bocote.
Very cool, Jeff; looks fantastic!:cool: I probably should have recognized its silhouette, but the bocote covers totally threw me! ;)

Thanks, GT. I like the red knives a lot, ALOX or not.

Thanks, Stuart. If new laws restricted me to only one type of knife, I'd probably opt for a SAK of some kind!

I’ve got this Kutmaster jack in my pocket.
I'll bet putting that jack in your pocket also put a song in your heart!! :):cool:

It's a MAM O RAMA!
28462165548_cf9c8aab1f_b.jpg
That's some primo cover art under your MAM, FBC!!:cool::cool: That album is definitely from my era, but I don't think I've ever seen it or heard anyone play it.:eek:

Thanks GT, I was planning a hike there for tomorrow, but the weather has turned rotten here, so we'll see. That's Sandal Castle up on the hill (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sandal_Castle), and those yellow rapeseed flowers hide a bloody history, one of the most significant battles of the English War of The Roses was fought there (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Wakefield), a 'King' died in those fields.

You are welcome my friend, but you might not be getting many more of those math puns! :D

A scarlet blade! ;) Very nice GT :)

I thought I'd taken some pics of my new 2018 ebony Guardians Lambsfoot yesterday, but I'd forgotten to put the memory card in my camera! o_O Still carrying it though ;) Along with this GEC Boy's Knife

Thanks for the additional info, Jack. :) You sure know a lot of history of your area! Maybe learning more of the history of my region would be a good retirement hobby. In the USA, there's certainly a lot less recorded history to investigate than is the case in the "Old World". Sorry to hear that the weather didn't cooperate with your hiking plans.

What model is that, Mike?!? I've been admiring the Churchills that have been all over The Porch for several months now, but I always think, "Looks like a fabulous knife, if only it had a spear instead of a clip." Whatever you posted looks like a dream come true!!:eek::thumbsup::thumbsup:;)

Not a great shot, but here's my eclectic group for the day.
Very remarkable trio, Joshua!!:thumbsup::thumbsup::cool: (You can get about as much blade versatility and "ecleticity" with a stockman, and save a lot of handle space! ;):p)

Your Churchill sure is a promiscuous partner, Todd, pairing up with almost any other knife!:thumbsup::cool::D

My Euro Knife this week has been an Opinel Carbone #7 (pictured when it was new) that usually is on my kitchen counter:

Warm weather, light clothing, light carry.

That Opinel is lookin' good! Did you char the handle?

The ISW helped in the garden this morning setting up bamboo scaffolding for the tomatoes :) The tomatoes are going off :D Hornworms a plenty :eek: The chickens will feast

Super knife, Gevo. What is it, Primble?

Thank you! Nice knife and photo! :)
Thanks man.

That's some primo cover art under your MAM, FBC!!:cool::cool: That album is definitely from my era, but I don't think I've ever seen it or heard anyone play it.:eek:
Thanks, Gary. You are missing out if you haven't heard this wonderful record!

Got off too late for a pic so I will use a old one.

Good eyes, GT! That indeed is a Grinling Whittler that r8shell r8shell very generously made available to me in response to a WTB plea I made last August. I haven’t told you how I like it, but I love it! Pure elegance in every respect. I haven’t whittled much with it yet, but that’ll change some day soon. The secondary blades are nice and thin and will perform well.

In the mean time, it makes me tremendously happy to hold and have in my pocket. Thanks again, Rachel! And, thanks for noticing, GT.

Proper by GaryWGraley, on Flickr

with a handle about 3 3/4" long and a blade of 2 3/4" long it makes for a comfortable carry and using knife. The blade could probably have been ground slightly thinner but, she cuts well just as she arrived, hair popping sharp and yet very toothy edged.

Thanks, GT. Sometimes the old knives need a showing (and I am unabashedly guilty in this).

That's a knife to break a heart. Thank you for sharing it, GT (and a bit of its story).

The end to one of the most tragic and stressful weeks in my life...I had this #77 with me the whole time...it turned into a worry stone for me. My mother gave me the rooster stone....well because I have chickens...and it made me laugh.
Sorry to hear you had such a bad week, hope you have a great weekend!

:D:thumbsup: I'm just not that organized. I have a half dozen or so knives out on my computer table that I pick from in the morning. I rotate others in from the knife drawer, according to my whims. I've been alternating between the 77 Barlow and 35 Churchill for a while (usually paired with a 22 Esquire), but a few older knives have been calling to come out. :)
