I'm assembling a nacre navy of Battle Axe bateaux to tote me today to a friend's house for a cook-out and watching the Canadian Gran Prix (Formula 1 wise. that is). The one on the left is the Apache Canoe; the Comanche Canoe is on the right. Once again, I was bedeviled by oak tree reflections on my fleet.

Thanks! As we start to get into triple digit temperatures here, it's a good time for staying inside with the air conditioning on and tinkering.
I smoothed out the nail relief a bit. I'm liking this old guy more and more.

Thanks, Ron! I go hiking in one of our local parks every Thursday and always put bug repellant on. Apparently, the Teardrop bug was still able to bite me! I am truly enamored of the pattern now.

Here's the knife I've carried for about fifteen years. It's an old Henckels 1901 that I bought out of a cigar box at a flea market. T'aint pretty, but I love it. The scales are getting a nice pocket worn feel, and it takes an edge like nobody's business...
