Here's the knife I've carried for about fifteen years. It's an old Henckels 1901 that I bought out of a cigar box at a flea market. T'aint pretty, but I love it. The scales are getting a nice pocket worn feel, and it takes an edge like nobody's business...

I’d love to find one of those in good condition.

Still my new 15. I really like the honest simplicity of this knife. I kinda wish it had a shield, but at the same time I appreciate that the unadorned contributes to the simple look.

Little project, 90% of horse carved with various pocket knives, good bulk of material around the profile removed with a dremel. Now I'm under cutting the profile to define it more. Oh some details on the face was done with a dremel, mostly to sand and soften lines

Somewhat, I also draw when I make time, I have a "how to draw horses" book, this profile was one of the pictures in the book, the shading in the pic helped quite a bit. Kind of like having a static model to work from. If I get stuck, I go out to the pasture and spend some time with my landlords semi-retired horses. I don't know if they quite understand why I keep turning them to different lighting and moving their head around. They are very patient horses lol

The bone on your stockman is fantastic - color and jigging. (As a side note, imagine if it did have 6 blades - what would the other 3 be?)
