I love this side of the knife, it's a special effect!!!

Nice knives and pics today, folks!
I took these pics on Nine Mile Creek yesterday, about 3 miles south of the old Camillus Cutlery site. I didn't even see a trout, let alone catch one, but I enjoyed trying.
I forgot to post them, so here they are. I'm totin' the same knives though.

Any day fishing is a good day, even if you dont catch anything.

Great pair of blades too!

Thanks, my friend. The Zippo was a very cool gift from a forum friend. I am really glad I was able to picked up one of the Diamond Jacks, it works great for slaying my lunch time apples.
That Ancient of yours is a beaut' ! Is it as good of a slicer as the first run?

Have a great day y'all!

What a great gift :) paulhilborn paulhilborn sent me a Case-branded Zippo that I treasure :) I am glad to also own one of Charlie's Diamond Jacks, a kind gift from the man himself, they really are a great-looking knife

Thanks my friend, it's just a wonderful knife, but that scratted bone Ancient is really something incredible I think :) Charlie and GEC did a great job of both of them

Wow! Fantastic pics Dave :) My bow-legged granddad would have been proud to see a Sheffield Lambsfoot riding the range! :D ;) Hope you're keeping well my friend, come and visit in the Guardians thread sometime :)

Marilyn in the meadow and Ancient among the ads are looking prosperous, Jack!:cool::thumbsup:

"Scurrilous" is a word I should use more frequently, but is seldom applicable on The Porch! :D:thumbsup:

Thanks GT, jings and gadzooks, I sure enjoyed your post! :D

When I was in the third / fourth grade in the early 60s, a young lady named Mary Sue (two names equals crazy) had a crush on me. She would write me notes on little pieces of construction paper and pass them to me. I would take them home and read them to my momma, who was highly entertained. At the bottom of one of the notes Mary Sue inscribed "OXOXOX". I, being a naïve little boy, read "ox ox ox" as you might describe three oxen. Momma snorted and laughed till she cried, at which point my older sister got in on the entertainment and also laughed till she cried. And of course this story spread throughout the family and I was teased relentlessly. Mary Sue had an early growth spurt, she was bigger than I, and frankly that kind of scared this timid young man. Between that and the teasing I was never interested in her. However, "OX OX OX" (gotta say it three times) became ingrained in my family as a goodbye between us that remains to this day.

Haven't seen Mary Sue since highschool, but discovered she isn't doing well, so made this pendent for her, going to mail it today, need to get letter written. Made from unobtainium bark.

What a cool story John, thanks for sharing it :) That thought is as lovely as your Oeser :)

When I was a kid I was absolutely fishing crazy, and I spent all my time trying to catch huge record-breaking fish :D I haven't fished for years, but when I look back it isn't catching the fish that I remember best, it's the peace and quiet, the tranquillity, the beauty of my surroundings, so even though you didn't catch any trout, that still sounds like a great day to me my friend :) Two smashing knives too

Thank you, Gary! :)

Cracking pics of two top-class knives Dean

Totin' these two today.

Excellent combination Joshua

That's why they call it "fishing" and not "catching". Water looks fishy though and there's nothing better than a day spent hunting fish. Thanks for sharing and reminding me to get my butt out there and create that perfect drift I've been looking for :)

I don't get out as often as I'd like. It always seems there is something more pressing. Sometimes you just gotta do it.

Any day fishing is a good day, even if you dont catch anything.

Great pair of blades too!

Thanks, Taylor. I remember a mug I kept on my office desk. It read "Born to fish forced to work".
On the knives; Tom Krein makes a nice B&T and the Lloyd won't stay home.

Jack, Just being out on the stream is enough for me, exactly for the reasons you listed.
If I see a few rise to my dry fly or catch a few that's icing on the cake. I'm a catch and release trout fisherman. I eat a lot of fish and seafood in general but I don't particularly like trout. The Krein doesn't clean many trout. Now if I get me some perch! Yum!

Well I got this old boy in the mail yesterday. I've been told it's a military issued camp/scout knife from WW-2 but It's only got the USA shild for identification. I could use a little help if anybody might have more information about this one. Thanks. Trevor P.S. I just realized looking at the pictures I should make somthing clear. The Louisville Slugger in the background is a miniature version not a regulation sized bat. lol

Beautiful knives, Gary, and an even prettier view. Despite the lack of fish, I can imagine that it must have been a pleasure of a day.

Thank you, Gary! :)

What a terrific view, Dean, and the knives aren't hard to look at either. After having become content with not having one of Charlie's new TC Ancients, you fine folks have convinced me to have my heart set on finding one. It really is one of those knives and one of the few TCs that I have seen that really speaks to me, if that makes any sense.

I have decided to go with a couple of little ones today.

I have some red knives I'm carrying this week.
Alox of the Week is a faded red old cross Pioneer that I try to find excuses to carry:

Stockman of the Week is a jigged red bone Rough Rider with an unusual frame for a stockman (I think @black mamba calls it a Eureka stockman):

Beautiful Bushboot, Paul!!

I have a brace of Ironwood today. Appropriate for Wooden Wednesday, I think.

Pretty pair, Dylan.

I'm totin' these two today. It's hard to go wrong with a Red Sawcut Barlow and Rosewood Lambsfoot both in the pocket! :D

Dynamic duo, Ron. Great picture.

Holy cow! Those are beautiful!

Thanks for the kind comments, Ratbert.

@Prester John Very fine case trapper.

@Horsewright Once again, that's some great work, Dave, and well displayed. Thanks for showing your creations.
