What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

KsH4uyM.jpg

Don't know how to post pictures but I got the same knife in the mail yesterday. I believe this is going to be a pocket keeper. For about a year I've been carrying a GEC Tidioute Churchill and Calf Roper (both released last year). This one is released this year. All three have gabon ebone handles. I love a half stop knife but can live without it. The Churchill and Calf Roper don't have half stops. When I saw this one with the features I like plus the half stop I had to get one.

I think you made a great choice

Sharp pic :)

Thank you, fellas, for the compliments. You guys are sporting some excellent knives today.

Beautiful knives, Gary, and an even prettier view. Despite the lack of fish, I can imagine that it must have been a pleasure of a day.

What a terrific view, Dean, and the knives aren't hard to look at either. After having become content with not having one of Charlie's new TC Ancients, you fine folks have convinced me to have my heart set on finding one. It really is one of those knives and one of the few TCs that I have seen that really speaks to me, if that makes any sense.

I have decided to go with a couple of little ones today.

I have some red knives I'm carrying this week.
Alox of the Week is a faded red old cross Pioneer that I try to find excuses to carry:

non-Alox SAK of the Week is a Wenger Esquire:

Stockman of the Week is a jigged red bone Rough Rider with an unusual frame for a stockman (I think @black mamba calls it a Eureka stockman):

Bailed non-SAK of the Week is a Rough Rider scout in red jigged bone:

As always, I'm carrying this Vic Minichamp, too:

Dang! I might have to increase my guess on the amount of SAKs you own :)

Really nice color and jigging on that! Is that an Improved Trapper with a wharncliffe, or a single blade?

Nice!
Gary, how secure is that pocket clip on your mini champ?
I lost a Leatherman last fall while clearing thick brush and vines, when something defeated the pocket clip. When I discovered it was gone, I got off the tractor and looked and looked to no avail.

This pair sets the bar pretty high;):D

Sets the bar high indeed, my friend! I’d break something trying to reach that bar.
That Farmer’s Jack (is that what it’s called?) looks like a twin of Old Engineer Old Engineer ‘s favorite knife.

Yes it does !!! Do you leave the chain on when using it ???? Nice picture too Paul .

Thanks Harry and Jeff, Harry, I do carry with the chain on, if I'm working on the ground (which I do often) under steps, under trucks etc... I'll take the chain off as it sure to catch on something:eek:
Just to clarify about the setting the bar high comment, I'm referring to the bar shield:thumbsup::) and Jeff, the farmers jack is a twin to Harry's:thumbsup:

The Porch affliction strikes again!
Fine pair you picked for today, if that helps.:D
