What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

We’ve got 5 tons of river rocks being delivered tomorrow. Going to do landscape work around our new driveway and sidewalk. The shovels and wheelbarrow will definitely get a good workout over the next several days! :) Whoa! :eek: I meant to say I’ll get a good workout over the next several days! :D So today I’m just relaxing around the house having some good home cooked fresh veggies including squash, okra, tomatoes, cantaloupe and peaches! I almost forgot the cornbread! :D These two will be in the pockets. Hope everyone has a blessed Sunday! :thumbsup:

That's a lot of rocks Ron! :eek: Sounds like you're going to be working hard this week - so much for retirement huh?! o_O :rolleyes: ;) I love to see that super Sunday combination :) :thumbsup:

The Norfolk and the Sambar Lambsfoot make a very good pair! :) That is a lot of rocks and it may possibly not be enough! :eek: :D

Maybe some of you can sing along with me on some of my comments! :rolleyes:
Cool pic, hot knife!! :thumbsup::cool::thumbsup:
My riches can't buy everything... I sit and watch as tears go by.

Fabulous pen knife! :cool::thumbsup::thumbsup: I have one just like it, and
wild, wild horses couldn't drag it away!

Congrats on scoring a Geppetto! I almost forgot what mine used to look like, and you've inspired my carry today.

Versatile carries, @r8shell! :cool::cool::thumbsup: So many knives, so little time! ;)
"There's no time to lose, " I heard her say
Catch your dreams before they slip away
Dying all the time
Lose your dreams and you will lose your mind
Ain't life unkind?

That is certainly NOT a gin-soaked barroom Queen from Memphis, and I love the color: gimme the honky tonk blues!

I just got my first GEC #15 today. So ill be carrying that!
Congrats on the GEC #15 and welcome to The Porch, @Small Change ! :thumbsup::thumbsup::)
Please allow me to introduce myself. I'm a man of wealth (?) and taste (??).
Pleased to meet you, hope you guess my name.

I believe the bull is onyx from Mexico. Bought in San Antonio many years ago.
Thanks for the info, PJ. :)
Time is on your side, yes it is, if you've had that beautiful bull that long already.

Today has been another Ancient Muscadine day. I really like this one. I think it is trying to be my favorite TC ever.

That's quite an admission, Dean, considering how many first-rate TCs you have. I wouldn't have guessed that this Ancient 2.0 could ever break, ever break, ever break, your heart of stone!

And my peep:D

GEC’s Hummingbird acrylic is absolutely gorgeous but really doesn’t begin compare to the real thing! ...
Ace, your knives are like a rainbow; they come in colors everywhere! ;):thumbsup::cool:
Paul & Ken, same goes for your birds; lovely shots! :cool::cool::thumbsup:

Just passing kindness I’ve received along!
:thumbsup::cool::cool::thumbsup: That's the dynamic that makes The Porch go, I think!

Not just "free" choice, but "great" choice. That's a fine knife, GT.

I think your Case Mini Copperlock stands out like a shiny silver dollar GT . Great color and jigged bone IMO .
Harry
GT, your choices are a grand slam! The bone and diamond shield on the Mini Copperlock are perfect, the smooth bone half hawk is very intriguing to me since the recent thread on them, and I MUST know more about the Colonial Jack! Age? Closed length? I am smitten with that clip point and slender pen blade!
5K Qs 5K Qs Your Case Mini Copperlock is one handsome knife!
I appreciate your kind words, Stuart & Harry & Shawn & Ratbert. :) Harry, I know you've got (or at least had) several knives dressed up in the walnut Rogers jigged bone like that mini copper lock @Leslie Tomville so generously gave me, and your examples made me aware of how attractive that bone/bolster combo is! LOTS of folks were fired up about it when Case first brought it out, and I never lost my enthusiasm for it.
Shawn, I don't know a ton about that little Colonial.
I know it's only a Colonial, but I like it, like it, yes I do!
It's 2 7/8" long, only 3/8" wide, stainless, and, surprisingly, it doesn't have the crimped-on bolsters/covers I expected to see. The celluloid covers are a bit loose and rattly. No idea on the age.

Dedicated Chicken Dinner Knife! ;)
I like the theme of your photo! :cool::thumbsup:;) But I have some kind of problem: I see a green knife and I want it painted black! Like the next two knives. ;)

I thought I'd throw the 'ol TC into my watch pocket for the day...
Joshua, how does that clip blade even fit in the handle of that knife?? Cool optical illusion! :p

Old saw-cut Camillus barlow today...

Rto23RL.jpg
Thanks GT. I'm of the same mind on an Imperial barlow. Speaks to my soul.
- Stuart
When I see old Barlows like @JohnDF , @Atiger , and SteveC SteveC posted, I sing to those old knives:
Well, I've been haunted in my sleep
You've been starring in my dreams
Lord I miss you

I've said this before, but I was getting a bit worried, not seeing a post from Jack,
But it's all right now, in fact, it's a gas
But it's all right, Jumpin' Jack Black is a gas.

If I could only keep one knife, this would be it.
Saw this in the Stag Sat. thread, and was so bedazzled by the stag that I didn't notice the gorgeous drop point blade! :eek::thumbsup::thumbsup::cool: That knife can start me up, and make a grown man cry!

A lot of knife Pepe packs into his mini Lanny's Clip!
View attachment 950243
Yowza, Jason! :eek::cool::thumbsup::thumbsup:
With no rope knives in our boats
And no Barlows in our coats
You can't say we're satisfied
Lanny, I still love that pattern…
There ain't a woman that comes close to you…
Lanny, Lanny, ain't it good to be alive

W:eek:W! That's a unique photo! :cool::cool:
Knives are different today
I hear every mother say
The pursuit of happiness is just a bore
What a drag it is getting old

What an outstanding duo! :cool::thumbsup::thumbsup:
I'm no school boy but I know what I like
Your knives are totally out of sight
Brown Sugar!

I was looking through my desk drawer and an old friend caught my eye...it's been much too long a spell since old grey blade had a ride in me pocket, he helped harvest a few jalapeno peppers for grillin' that the plants had been left to wilt a few times, for flavors sake, and feels right at home, as always, in my hand... View attachment 950604
Thanks for posting that old friend, Duane!! ;):thumbsup::thumbsup: Until I saw it today, I couldn't get no satisfaction, though I try and I try and I try and I try! :p
