What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Trying to pick a totin' totem to brighten the rainy day here, I went to the pearl pile and picked this Queen model 6 senator pen. Even at 2 1/2", it casts a comforting reflection on a dark day.

Am I mixed up, or...
Please don’t answer that!

Ok. I thought it was the pearl pit.
But this lil beauty came out of the pearl pile?

You have a pit AND a pile!

The pile is in the pit. I hope to get a picture of that happy little group soon, Jeff, but it makes the other knives jealous so I have to be stealthy. I do feel a bit dainty with that lil one in my pocket.

Not that there’s anything wrong with that.:D

Pretty much one of these five is in my pocket these days. I seldom carry any others.
You might notice a pattern to my druthers...

It's a little worn, but my "office EDC" is a Rough Rider Mini Canoe. It's a bit of a downgrade from my old "NRA Outdoors" (Benchmade) mini-canoe, but it's less depressing if I lose it. I can get five of these brand new for what an NOS model of the other goes for.

Welcome to the porch, Duderino!

Man, all of the GEC 44’s being shown have finally broken me. I’m gonna drive by Titusville tomorrow to see if I can scare one (or a few?) up. I know I’ll likely come up empty, but it’s worth a shot.
If you can "drive by Titusville tomorrow" I'd say the odds are in your favor. What a treat that would be! :) Best of luck in your search.

Went to prescribed burn training today with a group that supports local landowners. I decided to switch things up and carry my Rough Rider muskrat in my horizontal cross-draw sheath. This one has very nice fit and finish, although the strawberry bone was a bit blotchy originally. A bit of Rit dye helped that out. In my experience the biggest variable with Rough Rider is the pull -- some are way too strong and some way too weak, and it can vary quite a bit among the blades on one knife. This one is quite consistent, being about a 4 for one blade and a 4.5 for the other.

Last weekend I took my little Laquoile to hell. Literally. I did not stop to take this "my knife was there" - pictures so you just have to believe me :) We also had a quest with us, allhough he traveled in a small urn. We made a favour to a friend and brought her granddad to her to put to final rest, so you could say on the way we brought poor guy to the gates of hell and back. So now you know hell is in the Hell's lake national park in central Finland.
