Yesterday was not a typical Saturday for me. I didn’t even pocket a knife. My choices today would have been great for Stag Saturday, but Stag is actually good anytime!![]()

Here is another Texas Jack for you EdModoc ED , a large one. This 1982 is as close as I can come to a Case vintage green bone on my budget!
Gorgeous Lady Leg's. You're responsible for half my carry, thanks. It's surprising what you find around the house after a boisterous Saturday night, like a pair of . . . er, deceptively styled caplifters by Valley Forge Cutlery Co. (Boker USA) from 1916-1950.

They may be small, but they aren't dainty.

View attachment 986295I’m not carrying any knives now. I got creative and decided to carve out an arch. But in doing so I wore out all three blades on the Case and the only thing left of the Vic Tinker is the toothpick. In comparison I’d say the Victorinox did hold up a bit longer though....

Very slow day today due to the forest fire in Glacier Park .
We stayed at The Great Bear Inn . Very nice place .
Time to choose something to carry this morning .
Loaded pictures from my wife's camera to my computer and had a better picture of Da Bear , the tunnel , and an Antelope from a couple of days ago
And a picture of the worlds largest Wine Barrel in Heidelberg from 2017
Back to today : Spent all day in the West end of Glacier Park .
Lake Macdonald and the smoke from the forrest fire .
Next 3 pictures taken of the Middle Fork of the Flathead River
The water is actually very clear and it has lots of fish in it .
Ended the day with some Huckleberry Pie

Hey, that's great that you met herder Barrett, Duncan and I had the pleasure to do so after the rendezvous last yearGreat stuff, Harry! Thanks for sharing!
On Friday, Eleanor and I met @herder for lunch. It was great to meet a fellow BF member and get to spend some time talking knives in person.
I've got this one in my pocket today.

That's a fine trio of old knives, Jer!Reminds me of a commercial from olden times.
If you dare wear short shorts, Nair for short shorts na na na na na na na.
I cut quite a swath with my jodhpurs and braces today. Too hot for riding boots, so I wore sandals.

I also had a rosewood lambsfoot, but that group shot wouldn't focus.
Dylan, I've often admired your black/red pairings, but this black&white&red combo is quite memorable!...
I have had the AC Lambsfoot with me again, accompanied by the ever so lovely 25 in red sawcut.

New Otter. ... Lenght closed is 94 millimetres, just right in my opinion for a pocket knife. Good snap and smooth firm pull, fit and finish is good, no gaps and blade centers nicely when closed. I wonder what the wood on the handle is?
@HFinn, congrats on the two new Otters!Knife for the weekend, my new Otter hippekniep. Have a good weekend!

That 2-blade #25 stag Barlow is an incredible knife, Senhor Pinto!!Today with this wonderful knife...

Is that a #48, John? I didn't even know the Templar version of a trapper existed!
That's amazing work, Jeff!!First toting of my latest project, since I finished her up last night. I won a bid on this Camco Scout for less than the very reasonable shipping charge. I had intended to caniballize the awl blade to put in a TL-29 to make a harness jack, but when I got it I liked it too much. Carried some, but never sharpened, and strong smooth snaps. The awl blade was cocked over toward the main causing jamming and blade rub, so it needed to be tweaked a bit, and the ugly plastic handles had shrunk.
Here it is broken down.View attachment 984971This is how the mart of wal sells buffalo horn dog chews...they are zip tied to a piece of cardboard with the label and bar code.View attachment 984967Cutting scales...View attachment 984968And after getting her all back together and sanded to 2000 grit, I have a new love.View attachment 984969View attachment 984970
Every time I see your El Greco knife, Joshua, it gives me good memories of my trip to visit my daughter in Spain and our day trip to Toledo.
Thanks, Tom; the Sheffield camp knife is one of a set of 6 matching knives/multitools my wife got me one Christmas. They're really junk (coming from me, that probably means they're REALLY bad
First class couple there, Taylor; that brass is so boss! These two

Thanks for the info, Stuart; I hope you get useful info from the Levine Forum. That Laguiole is an inexpensive Chinese knock-off, but it's actually a very competent, enjoyable knife IMHO.Thanks, GT, for the kind comments on both. I don't know the maker of that small wood-sided folder nor the tang mark. I have a post in Benard Levine's ID forum in hopes of help in that quest. That's a very luscious Languiole in your trio.

What bountiful bone!!I have another old fella hanging with me today and I'm kinda taking to him. He has more walk and talk in him that many of my younger companions, and he snaps like an alligator. A Schatt & Morgan Cutlery Co. (Titusville, P.A.) equal end jack from 1903-1932.
