Yesterday was not a typical Saturday for me. I didn’t even pocket a knife. My choices today would have been great for Stag Saturday, but Stag is actually good anytime! ;) :D

Super Stag Sunday choices Ron ;) Hope you're OK pal

Thanks and love that Diamond Jack !

Thanks Steve, it was a gift from Charlie @waynorth some years back :)

Utica Cattle knife today

Cool pic, those covers pop!

Delightful combination Rachel :)

I’m not carrying any knives now. I got creative and decided to carve out an arch. But in doing so I wore out all three blades on the Case and the only thing left of the Vic Tinker is the toothpick. In comparison I’d say the Victorinox did hold up a bit longer though....:D

Other than the Otter-Messer knife I showed above, here's some more German content to share.

Our German Shepherd - Australian Shepherd mix "CoCo" and our Dachshund "Utah".

And to keep this on topic about knives, I am carrying this Solingen made Trapper on my belt in a sheath today.

That's a fine BB Winchester.

Simple Sunday carry...

Simply handsome.

Summer's waning, yet you are still greening up!

Well, that's a choice pair, Ron.

Utica Cattle knife today

I agree with Jack Black, that's a radiant knife, Steve.

That pair ties Saturday and Sunday together very well, r8shell. Particularly nice picture, too.

Continuing my monthly theme with two/one stag. Today both brassy.

Your theme is working well, Alan. Knice pair. pal.

First one from the Right...

You seem to be bucking a trend. If my 110 goes missing again, I know where to start looking.

It's surprising what you find around the house after a boisterous Saturday night, like a pair of . . . er, deceptively styled caplifters by Valley Forge Cutlery Co. (Boker USA) from 1916-1950.

They may be small, but they aren't dainty.

Gorgeous Lady Leg's. You're responsible for half my carry, thanks.

Very slow day today due to the forest fire in Glacier Park .
We stayed at The Great Bear Inn . Very nice place .

Time to choose something to carry this morning .

Loaded pictures from my wife's camera to my computer and had a better picture of Da Bear , the tunnel , and an Antelope from a couple of days ago

And a picture of the worlds largest Wine Barrel in Heidelberg from 2017

Back to today : Spent all day in the West end of Glacier Park .
Lake Macdonald and the smoke from the forrest fire .

Next 3 pictures taken of the Middle Fork of the Flathead River

The water is actually very clear and it has lots of fish in it .

Ended the day with some Huckleberry Pie

Harry

Great stuff, Harry! Thanks for sharing!

On Friday, Eleanor and I met @herder for lunch. It was great to meet a fellow BF member and get to spend some time talking knives in person.

I've got this one in my pocket today.

Hey, that's great that you met herder Barrett, Duncan and I had the pleasure to do so after the rendezvous last year:thumbsup: love those what a knives:cool:

I'm so far behind in this thread that I probably won't catch up, but I'm going to try by doing 5 pages at a time, and trying to limit comments to a couple of posts per page.

Reminds me of a commercial from olden times.
If you dare wear short shorts, Nair for short shorts na na na na na na na.
I cut quite a swath with my jodhpurs and braces today. Too hot for riding boots, so I wore sandals.

I also had a rosewood lambsfoot, but that group shot wouldn't focus.
That's a fine trio of old knives, Jer!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

...
I have had the AC Lambsfoot with me again, accompanied by the ever so lovely 25 in red sawcut.

Dylan, I've often admired your black/red pairings, but this black&white&red combo is quite memorable!:cool::thumbsup:

Carried two 77 Barlows today during the drive from Dickinson , N. Dakota to Great Falls , Montana . ( Old Pics of Knives )...
Harry
Go West, young man! ;):thumbsup: Auspicious pair of Northfield Barlow, Harry, and thanks for more fabulous fotos of your trip!:cool::thumbsup:

Yes, it's a wondrous old scarred ebony, Jeff It is an old photo as I am cameraless....oh the pain. Here is another old shot of her open

What a vibrant vintage knife, Gev!!:cool::thumbsup:

New Otter. ... Lenght closed is 94 millimetres, just right in my opinion for a pocket knife. Good snap and smooth firm pull, fit and finish is good, no gaps and blade centers nicely when closed. I wonder what the wood on the handle is?
Knife for the weekend, my new Otter hippekniep. Have a good weekend!

@HFinn, congrats on the two new Otters!:thumbsup::thumbsup: Both are very desirable, IMHO! :)

Today with this wonderful knife...

That 2-blade #25 stag Barlow is an incredible knife, Senhor Pinto!!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Today is my Ebony Churchill and my new Sambar ACL. :)

Ron, you are living the dream, sir!! ;):cool::thumbsup:

Something for Fun Friday, or Fancy Friday, or Black Friday, or Northfield Friday :)
Is that a #48, John? I didn't even know the Templar version of a trapper existed! I've seen the Templar version of #12 on the GEC website, but I don't remember seeing any "in the wild" pics of any model with the Templar features.:thumbsup::cool:

First toting of my latest project, since I finished her up last night. I won a bid on this Camco Scout for less than the very reasonable shipping charge. I had intended to caniballize the awl blade to put in a TL-29 to make a harness jack, but when I got it I liked it too much. Carried some, but never sharpened, and strong smooth snaps. The awl blade was cocked over toward the main causing jamming and blade rub, so it needed to be tweaked a bit, and the ugly plastic handles had shrunk.
Here it is broken down.View attachment 984971This is how the mart of wal sells buffalo horn dog chews...they are zip tied to a piece of cardboard with the label and bar code.View attachment 984967Cutting scales...View attachment 984968And after getting her all back together and sanded to 2000 grit, I have a new love.:DView attachment 984969View attachment 984970
That's amazing work, Jeff!!:cool::cool::thumbsup: Creative thinking to come up with your handle materials "on the cheap", and the finished project looks terrific!:thumbsup::cool:

Every time I see your El Greco knife, Joshua, it gives me good memories of my trip to visit my daughter in Spain and our day trip to Toledo.

Here's a knife I bought there:

Thanks GT! The Sheffield camp knife is super cool

Mine today, clearly I forgot about black Friday :).

Thanks, Tom; the Sheffield camp knife is one of a set of 6 matching knives/multitools my wife got me one Christmas. They're really junk (coming from me, that probably means they're REALLY bad ), but it's the thought that counts. ;) Your orange Farmer on black rocks seems fine for Black Friday!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

First class couple there, Taylor; that brass is so boss!:thumbsup::cool:

Thanks, GT, for the kind comments on both. I don't know the maker of that small wood-sided folder nor the tang mark. I have a post in Benard Levine's ID forum in hopes of help in that quest. That's a very luscious Languiole in your trio.
...
- Stuart
Thanks for the info, Stuart; I hope you get useful info from the Levine Forum. That Laguiole is an inexpensive Chinese knock-off, but it's actually a very competent, enjoyable knife IMHO.:thumbsup::cool:

I have another old fella hanging with me today and I'm kinda taking to him. He has more walk and talk in him that many of my younger companions, and he snaps like an alligator. A Schatt & Morgan Cutlery Co. (Titusville, P.A.) equal end jack from 1903-1932.

What bountiful bone!!:thumbsup::thumbsup::cool: What's the diameter of your black nubby disk that's in many of your recent pics? It will be a good size reference, once I know how big it actually is. ;)

Thank you for your kind comments, Gary! Your RR work knife is another good example of the brand.
My carry today (which I just purchased) is inspired by GT's many posts of this model - the Case Navy blue bone Mini Copperhead!
Thanks for the RR comment, Dean. :) That Navy blue bone Case sure is a looker; congrats!:thumbsup::cool:

My Lambsfoot of the Week is my ebony Black Jack:

Your too kind my friend! :)

@Old Engineer Thank you so much for all the great photos Harry! I’m just now catching up from the last couple of days postings. It’s been great seeing all your daily carries. It looks like you took an envious bunch to choose from! Be safe buddy! :)
