What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

I’m not carrying any knives now. I got creative and decided to carve out an arch. But in doing so I wore out all three blades on the Case and the only thing left of the Vic Tinker is the toothpick. In comparison I’d say the Victorinox did hold up a bit longer though....:D

Old Engineer Old Engineer Thank you so much for all the great photos Harry! I’m just now catching up from the last couple of days postings. It’s been great seeing all your daily carries. It looks like you took an envious bunch to choose from! Be safe buddy! :)
Thank you very much Ron . I am very happy to be able to post a few photos of places that I am able to go to . I realize that everybody is not as able to do it as Nancy & I are and we really like to travel .
I did bring more knives than I intended to bring partly because there were some that I wanted to show @paulhilborn and then there are some other reasons too .
Nice Stags that you posted today my friend . You must have a lot of nice Stag by now .

I recently got this Gunstock from Bret Dowell. I have quite a few of Bret’s knives. I have always found his workmanship to be excellent. This knife is flawless, in my opinion.
A very nice handful Sir !!! Thank you for posting it .

Carried these 2 today . 77 Barlow in Desert Ironwood and 43 in Stag . Old photos .

Drove from West Glacier , Montana to Butte , Montana today . Tomorrow we will drive to West Yellowstone , Montana . Pretty dull day with starting out in a little rain . A lot of beautiful country but not scenic like the mountains .

Thank you! No sir, we have had one heck of a trip though. Two days in Zion, one in Bryce, North Rim of the Grand Canyon, Antelope Canyon, Glen Canyon, Horseshoe Bend, then on to Monument Valley. From there up to Moab and Arches, which you really need 4 days for. Now sitting in Vegas for an early flight home.

On Friday, Eleanor and I met @herder for lunch. It was great to meet a fellow BF member and get to spend some time talking knives in person.

I've got this one in my pocket today.

Wonderful knife! That one would be a joy to carry!

@5K Qs ~ I appreciate the kind words!
And speaking of appreciation, I think a good dog is one of God’s greatest blessings. In my life I’ve had three German Shepherd Dogs, two Brittany Spaniels, and a Boston Terrier, all AKC pure breds, all wonderful dogs. But about a year before our son passed, he brought this guy, just a 5 wk old mutt pup home. And this is THE smartest, the most devoted, and most loving dog I’ve ever had. All he wants to do is be with me. Working outside, he’s at my side. Mowing, trotting alongside, practicing guitar or sitting on my butt liking knife pictures on BF, he’s laying at my feet.

Now maybe I’m just emotional because today in church I did the song we did at the funeral - hard to get through- but with this dog around, I feel connected to my boy.

Here he is guarding the beans I picked for supper...

And because this is about knives, here’s my Camco helping me cut and de-string the beans...

Thanks for letting me sit on the porch and ramble a bit.:)

What a wonderful post and a great looking pup! Please ramble all that you want...
